long locks + porno moustache = win

Holy crap....Armfield looks arm-less in that pic! :)

Welcome Brock, hopefully all your limbs are still attached!

i hope to god

Melbourne dont use that pick for John Butcher if he slips that far

because i will cry

I'll probably fart though I'm not sure if it'll have much to do with anything.

Pick 11 is hit or miss and will more likely than not take a year or two before the player develops enough to have a meaningful impact - even longer if a tall.

Happy with the deal. Mclean feels a genuine hole in the team and when fit, he's an excellent midfielder.

Look forward to seeing Brock play......am curious to know if later round picks were being haggled over and what the haggling involved if that was the reason for the delay in the deal being done later today rather than earlier.

Pretty happy with the exchange, should really put the finishing touch on our midfield.

Welcome Brock and good luck, please stay injury free!

Carlton have been taking big drafting risks over the last few years.

Warnock (yet to pay off and still a big risk)
Johnson (poor year but cost us little)
McLean (slow & has had injuries so who knows)
Yarran (yet to pay off and Rich looks much better at this stage)
Fev (trying to trade and may not get good compensation or an unhappy Fev if he stays)

I know that Warnock has been injured and Yarran is young !!!
However, we might have some real failures or some sheer brilliant decision making by the carlton recruiters. I am happy to back the Swanny team as the club is in much better shape than previous management teams.

I am happy we are taking the risks BUT we may also be making some HUGE mistakes.

Are we all happy that we are taking such risks ?

Congratulations on Carlton on making a succesfull trade, i believe it is a win-win situation for both parties but i also think that carlton got the better end of the deal as he is young, has 80+ games under his belt and has good leadership qualities.

Said this earlier, but there will be pressure on him especially by the carlton supporters. Pick 11 isn't cheap but I'm fairly confident he was worth it and can't wait till Round 1, or at least Round 4.

Great article.

It wasn't long ago that we were screaming out for on field leadership...These days we nearly have a plethora of them.

Well recruited,

go blues

I did not realise that he had family with us in the past. I have to admit that I havn't really seen a lot of him. A lot of people on BF, including opposition fans reckon that its a good pick up for us. Can someone please give me a comparison of who plays like.

Well I think I know what it has to do with ...

Mclean feels a genuine hole in the team and when fit, he's an excellent midfielder.

Oh great, that's all we need.

He is a very tough inside mid with nice disposal. He will add a much needed bigger body to our mids
