Surely it should be two weeks of AFL?
A 4 week punishment? Treacy should have ripped the Perth players heads off and spat in their necks. Punishment would have been the same.

Since it’s been downgraded to careless doesn’t he get the option of early plea to reduce it to 1 game?
I don't get how they can re-grade it to careless and then not offer the early plea discount? Surely if you convince them the classification is wrong then it resets the counter on an early plea?
Irrespective of whether it should be 1 or 2 weeks the real problem is the alignment stretching it out a few weeks on top. Ludicrous.

Can't he just be nominated to play for Peel Thunder for next two weeks and get the penalty over faster?
2 weeks is fair he knocked gray out. The wafl nonalignment rule is utter bullshit though. Hope the club appeals this. AFL players should be penalised by missing AFL games not by lower amateur leagues such as the WAFL, should be 2 games of AFL end of story

So if he does it again to some annoying little irrit, that means there is no additional penalty.
2 weeks, add another 2 weeks and it will just be the same...

Hmmmm.... Leave to others to say if that is appropriate. Maybe the club are looking to take it further.
I don't believe they could let the delay stand. It's such a marginal catch. What would happen if there's an outbreak and the WAFL is delayed and AFL goes forward in a hub?
