Seems like according to the training reports we have him pencilled in as a backman.

Really liked Denver up forward to be honest.

Having him play both ends and rotate him in each half would be elite, he has the talent to just about the fitness
I will settle for him just mastering one position before worrying about him being AFL quality at two.

With Lewis, Chol, and Gunston as forwards, plus the smalls, reckon DGB should be given the freedom to develop as a forward now. With less pressure, he may actually blossom as a forward, good opportunity now

he s played about 6 good games in 3 years at box hill or hawrthorn

every one of them has been centre half forward and he's only played about 10 games in that posi

he hasn't had one stand out game at chb

He’s played 28 AFL games for an average of 7.5 possessions / game.

Talent (?) yet to be shown at the top level so it’s hard to understand how it would be “elite” rotating from back to front.

He’d only get dizzy IMHO.

Let’s just hope he starts finding the footy more at AFL level and strings regular games together.

That’d be a positive for 2024.

That would be handy in the long run, but right now he needs to nail down a single position.

Going from being a backman for two years, to being a forward for one year, before becoming a backman all over again can't be good for his confidence.

His game v Carlton 2022 was very good.

If it makes you feel any better the next 15odd picks in that same draft really haven’t shown much more, specifically any of the talls available

I love how quiet everyone that begrudged us picking DGB over Hollands has gotten. Used to see it in threads occasionally, I wonder if they still think it would have been a prudent choice given that Hollands has been both unfit AND regularly on the nose beers since being drafted.

I wouldn't have said he was a forward for a whole year. He still played a fair chunk of this year down back.
