Morning lads, my Dad who is an avid junior football viewer & junior coach, would often go down to watch Eastern games because his neighbours son plays there.
Anyway, he’d often ring me and tell me about the kids who look good and will get drafted. Always talking about Rainer, Dow, Davies -Uniacke and how they’ll be stars, but he told me about this lightly built, short bloke named Dylan Moore who was so smooth in traffic, rarely got caught, elite ball user and is pure class.
Said ‘geez I’d love him at the Hawks’.

So you can imagine his elation when we drafted him.
Kids got a heap of developing to do physically but he’s a smooth, pure footballer.

Nice one. If he can fill out a little he should certainly make it !!!

"How have you found Alastair Clarkson so far?

He’s a genius I reckon. You can tell why he is regarded as one of the best coaches of all time. The way he interacts and the way he communicates, you can tell he is a genius."

Almost a mirrored response of what Worpel told the HFC site.

I thought Worpel’s last line was the best... “he’s a bit like... the Nutty Professor...”

How light was Nead at Port when he played? Couldn't be far off Moore

IIRC 64kgs.

For comparison, Orazio Fantasia at my club was about 68kgs when drafted in 2013.

Heck, Hayden Crozier was 68kgs at 184cm before Freo drafted in 2011.

I'm not sure I'd be bringing up Essendon players in relation to weight gain.

AFL website not doing their research again I see.

Or clubs fudging details.

Brisbane has Zac Bailey at 80+ kgs after last year's U18 championships listed him at 68kgs and Toby Wooller (193-90 vs 194-87.)

Was reading Konrad Marshall's book Yellow and Black where he was behind the scenes at Richmond during the 2017 season, when I got up to a segment where he is talking to one of the recruiters, whom described his biggest mistake as not selecting Lachie Neale due to being put off by his height despite having a knack for getting inside ball. Instantly I thought of this guy whom had slid in the draft due to his height, what observations have people made so far of his pre season if any?

By all reports he has done very well in training but we won’t know much until we see him in games.

Killed it in the time trial. Finished 2nd or 3rd.

Played the intra on a wing for the entire game and was quite good.

Looks as though they are going to play him on the outside for the moment despite his ball winning ability.
