hahaha wow I really thought it was a tweet.

A comment on an friend's instagram post is completely insignificant. They're LOOKING for things to be offended about with Ginnivan
You what struck me today, as well? The bizarre difference in how Tyson Stengle's being found unconscious in the street was dealt with versus Ginni having a pub meal and drinking waters on the eve of a match! I don't think the Stengle story lasted 12 hours but Ginni was back page news for days!

Cherry on the cake, Ken also said see you in 7 days in his presser to the media. But yes it was the 21 year old Ginnivan talking with his friend that was disrespectful.

Don't change because of the haters Ginni, farrrk em all. What a season from him, footy smarts, fun, entertaining, cheeky, goals, pressure.
Loves Hawthorn & Hawthorn loves him
Hope he keeps pissing off the dinosaurs, boomers & fist shaking at cloud stuck in the past nay sayers.
I wanna see more of him next year but less missed goals 😊

Saw more in regards to the situation. Ginnivan apologising and saying he needs to grow up.

The comments from Sicily and Ken were partially released aswell.

Ken saying “you’re not flying anywhere you cheeky ****” among other things. Which in return Sicily spoke about and dug in with Ports lack of ultimate success over the last decade or two, in the post-match spat with Hinkley, he told the 57-year-old that his club has been “nowhere club for eight years”.

Ginnivan shouldn’t of said it but not the end of the world, an indirected jab that was made worse by a 60 year old man not able to control his emotions and having a go at him after winning a cut throat final. Difference between indirect and direct, Sicily rightfully defending his teammate and Sam going through the defense of the side.

This will most definitely fire up the group and this rivalry is building.

It’s funny that this little comment will probably create Ginny to turn himself into a machine 😂 he loves the team so a big pre season with coming up along with many others.

He said he was swimming every week last offseason, if he kicks that up a notch he will take his game to serious level.

Ariarne Titmus would be proud. Did you know she attends Hawthorn games?!

Hopefully not taking lessons from Jack Watts

Season has been over for a week and Jack still centre of conversation.

This guy is just a magnet for attention. Those that give him that attention don't realise he really doesn't do that much. The comment was such a subtle, minor thing. Going to dinner the week before was a minor thing.

Everyone is so primed to jump on a Ginnivan story. I don't know how it gets to this. It's actually quite bizarre.

Even the Ken Hinkley stuff from last week - Ginnivan didn't react at all. Saw it, received it. Did not react. Quite amazing really

I do. He was a loved Collingwood player who left them for the club he supported as a kid and now the Pies supporters have turned on him, jumping on anything he does.

Just the dud Pies supporters... which are many. The bunch i know were gutted he left and know we got a bargain.

Go Ginnivan!

Is it the player or the club

Hawks handled Ginni the same way Cats handled Stengle but the difference in the reporting is poles apart.

Even Scott not playing Hawkins and Guthrie is not receiving any negativity (at least that I’ve heard) and yet I recall there was loads of media around whether roughie would get a final game

The storyline around Scott’s coaching record - sounds like the flipping messiah and yet I would presume Longmires record would also stand up

Ginni has a personality, whose club supports individuality. So a big target for the media to exploit. Stengel is a drug ****ed moron whose club is good at hiding things. So nothing to find.

Tyson Stengle = Gary Ablett Jnr without the arrogant Protestantism?

How did Stengle go this week? Always has next week according to Mannagh

Just an observation but is the young man showing some signs of maturity recently from the haircut, bow and tie at the Brownlow with a date and rumours of getting on the front foot approaching some of the senior players with remorse after the insta post. We gotta remember that he’s still only a 21yo young lad ……. seems like he’s been around for along time already.

Let’s hope he keeps on developing in the right direction as he’s a quality player with a big future ahead!

Not saying he's not maturing, but if a haircut and date to the brownlow are signs of maturing then I'm worried for the world.

How about we let people be themselves and not cast judgement on them based on their appearance.

Agreed. I actually want him to grow his hair back and just be himself. IMO the only kind of thing he needs to reign in is the social media comment which in a vacuum was harmless but could've easily been done as a private message.

Weird vote of confidence for the kid: if he's dating the coaches daughter, I reckon that's a good comment about his maturity away from the sport.

His date last night Lily Mitchell is a social media influencer (apparently, had never heard of her) and no relation to Sam Mitchell. At least definitely not one of his twin daughters who would only be about 15 now.
