The part of the brain that allows someone to make good decisions on the footy field , is separated from the part of the brain that allows someone to make good decisions off the football field. Some are blessed with excellence in both, some unfortunately exhibit neither and some exhibit one but not the other. And some never learn. Let’s hope these boys learn.

Deadset oh my son was let down blah blah blah whine whine whine.

It’s very possible you could be on instagram at midnight and come down with something that isn’t a hangover by 8.30-9am.

And even if they were hungover and cancelled they made an error in judgement the night before, but personally I’d rather them not be hungover in front of kids so I think they made correct decision in the circumstances.

Nick Watson too? Come on, let's not fool ourselves into thinking they both just happened to fall sick the exact same time which just happened to be right after they were drinking. It was a hangover 100%.

I hope they both set things right as at the end of the day it was on them to make sure they were both up for the committment they made, but it's not the end of the world.

Again can happen. You’re entitled to think it’s a bit of a coincidence probably correctly so, but instead of whining how about you tell these kids sh1t happens deal with it.

Was always going to happen, plus the kids will undoubtedly get more out of the next one than before
Should never have had to happen and who knows if those kids will want to attend, or be able to attend the clinic - which Jack and Nick decide they’re willing to help out with?

I don’t get people here saying “well it was the morning after the PCM” so those who organised it or paid the $$$ to go should’ve expected the possibility the players would pull out?

You make a commitment, you stick to it. That’s culture. Good culture.

Mad Monday is for players. They can bond, wipe themselves out, whatever. No issue with that. Go as hard as you want because no doubt there’s nothing planned for Tuesday except more partying.

The PCM is for the whole club and players who go are entitled to have a few beers, and kick on if they wish.

However, when you know you have made a professional commitment to do something the next morning, you should be sensible.

It’s not the time to “tie one on” and let a lot of people down the next day.

I agree with you. They should have honoured the commitment but the kids will no doubt be getting more out of this now.

Got to say I don’t mind these two being taught lessons like this early in their tenure. Ginni should know better but it also makes the Wiz realise that he can’t trust Ginni and needs to be his own man. No one was seriously hurt other than feelings and reputations. But still a massive error either scheduling and or agreeing to this gig after the BnF that’s just amateur hour.

Ginni/Wiz should be the ones reporting it or is social media only for high 5s

On SM-A546E using BigFooty.com mobile app
So you want Ginni and Wiz to report that they are now doing the clinic at a later date when they have clearly spoken with the clinic organisers who would have also let the parents know of the arrangement?
Why exactly would they need to 'report' it on social media?

Sam Edmond on trade radio just said that Ginni and the Wiz are going to hold a replacement day for the kids in the near future.
Yep I heard they are throwing in a free component too re: the dangers of binge drinking with a giant mascot called 'Under the Weather Trevor'

If I had to stake my life on it, I'm betting that the Wiz is far more of a "rascal" than Ginnivan.

Ginnivan has his priors and an established history with the media which means, at least for now, if he's involved the focus will be on him. The Wiz has gone under the radar so far but it won't be long until the media notice that he's a loose unit and can provide a lot more shock jock pieces.

As a parent - you hate to see your kids upset and you'll do anything in your power to stop it. When I was like 5-6 I went to a signing session for the Raiders at a local shopping centre and when I got to the front of the line the players were like 'we have to go - bye kids!' and I was bloody devastated. However - I don't get the reaction of calling 3AW to have a bitch about it. Even if I was aggrieved at the club or its players the last thing I would want to do is bring bad press to the club. Maybe email the club and act like adults about it - the club would surely respond in kind to something like this.

Not defending Ginni or Watto at all - but this mentality of 'I am upset so the whole world will hear about it' is ****ing maddening.

A few on here aren't thinking of the two kids (they're kids to me) who were supposed to turn up. I'm all for turning up the heat on their management who should know better.

On the topic - either their management or someone at the club probably needs to chat to the both of them about their side hustle also. I ordered some Hok merch and am happy with it but it took a crazy long time to be shipped with zero explanation as to why and there was the odd comment on their socials with people having similar issues. If these guys want to run their side ventures I am all for it but, as you said they are just kids themselves and probably need someone helping them out. We have multiple entrepreneurial past and present players - a bit of mentorship wouldn't go astray I think.
