Hopefully he can replicate Charlie Curnow and kick lots of goals after having a bad run with injury over a 2-3 year period.

Go get it ML 💪

This is where the money is. Surgery is a pretty small part, the hard part is getting that ridiculously atrophied musculature in that leg back up to where the other leg is without injury.

It's paramount to build that quad, hammy and calf strength as equally as possible. I can't explain it but I just have a really good feeling about him being okay after his reco. He was tracking okay up until he sprained that ACL a couple of preseasons ago.

Good to see Blanck, at a quick glance at least, moving without limps in the background
I met james blanck and his partner on my way to this years elimination final at glen waverley train station and i shook his hand,he had no limp and looked happy and smiling but what stood out was hes partner was atleast 4cm taller than him.

Don’t remember who and can’t be tossed going through the socials but from memory she plays for the Pies’ AFLW side

I'm a horrible person. My first thought reading this was how many games has he played? 76 games to go...

He’s progressing extremely well, wouldn’t be surprised to see him back around mid year
He’ll be running again soon.

Could well see him return a lot sooner than that, but he needs to keep ticking boxes.

From speaking to Mitch Lewis at the AFLW last night, he is aiming to be having his first run on the alter g treadmill in a fortnight's time. Means that him and Blanck will be aiming to be back around the same time.
Was a good 6 months or so between their injuries, just goes to show how rough at time that Blancky has had coming back from this!

Was quite happy to see Lewis having kick to kick with the AFLW team in their warm up.

Knew about Gunna's involvement as a development coach, but good to see Mitch come down to Frankston too.

I’d say a conservative approach would be mid year or just before, around 10-12 months. Could well and truly be before that if he continues the way he is now, which is super exciting.

10 months puts him returning about round 9 or so.

With any luck, he is able to start the season at near enough round 1 in Box Hill with a view to joing the senior team just before or after the bye

Can it just be said, for a guy who must have been down and out, he has been seen around the club a lot in recent times.
Not sure if this is a distraction, or help with the mental side of things but for those who may know something, all in all probably speaks volumes for him.

Mitch Lewis coming back fit and firing in the second half of the season will be huge for us. I don't get how some here think that he'd upset our game style, we all saw in the semi final, a big CHF was needed!!! He plays, we win. I love gunners but rather have Lewis as a big target, so therefore, Chol and Dear play against second and third talls. Can't wait.

Those calls make no sense. Lewis gets up and down the ground pretty well, as well as being a strong marking target. He'd do great with our fast ball movement.
