He plays his role really well. Priority number 1 is stop his opponent having an impact, which I think he did when on both Phillipou and Caminiti. From there, he ran off them and got involved with the play. He's been taking the game on, going for runs with ball in hand and really pushing for the best disposal even if it isn't that safest. 5 score involvements and 95%DE from a fith gamer whose primary job is to lockdown his opponent (and let Sicily play loose and destory opposition) is superb.

and was comfortable against talls, so quick with not the most graceful style, agile, backed himself to sprint away and in open space has a big kick that doesn't look the prettiest but goes okay (previous post has 95% DE for Weddle). Weddle seems to have quite high IQ, not sure Hay as much.

For so many years we hoped our picks would turn out okay, we need a batch at once and McKenzie is doing a great work, sleeping on the job .

This might be early for the kid, but he's my favourite player to watch since Hodgey. He takes the game on, flys high, has the stride and the strut of a legend in the making. I liked it when we picked him up, but I would never have thought he'd be producing these sorts of games.

Exactly right. The role we had him play in the first half is why Denver Grainger-Barras should have been brought in for Sicily today. Anyhow, Weddle is going to be a unique star in the future.

Heard Hodgey on the radio today that he bumped into and spoke to Weddle (before he was drafted after a game somewhere not sure where) for around 15 minutes. Then Weddle started asking/looking for water/hydralytes. Hodgey was impressed ……. a 17yo already looking at recovery and being professional at his age.
