Brutal but I think he is a list clogger
Redrafted as a rookie might be a good wake up call for him. The shock of being cut from the list followed by the relief of being redrafted as a rookie could be enough to make him realise he needs to take his chances to make it as an AFL player.

That’s what was said about Sam Mitchell and look how that turned out ..
Ditto Whitecross.
I can't see us picking up more than 1 DFA.....
Wrighty will say: "we were so happy to get him at 108, we didn't think he'd still be there at that stage. We're really pleased from the perspective"i hear pick 108 is an absolute champion...

Straight swap?Chris Grant (Footscray) was drafted at 105
Is it possible Sam Mitchell may have put in a good word to the list manager about keeping Lovell on for another year? At West Coast Sheed and Redden both had career best seasons.
Coincidentally the 2 games that Lovell last played was back in 2016 alongside Mitchell who would have worked with him at training sessions and would probably know of his strength and weaknesses.
He’s got talent. Can’t give up on him yet. Maybe end of 2019 season will be better time to assess.
Think he was in the day of zones.Chris Grant (Footscray) was drafted at 105
Was the 123rd player taken in the 2008 draft period.Think he was in the day of zones.
I think we missed out by a few streets.
but I think Breust as a rookie upgrade would have been about 120ish
I have my doubts, what's he really good at ?

Have we been too focussed on developing the lesser parts of his game & not letting him develop what is/are already his strengths, perhaps?Historically, getting the ball was his thing. Second best player in the history of the U18 comps at pure accumulating.
He's also got a very quick first few steps and has amazing agility. Not sure why he hasn't come on more.
