Again, look at what other kfs are doing around the league, there’s no use basing your expectations like you’re watching football in the 80’s.

14 kfs in a 18 team league kicked more than 40 goals last year.

If you’re expecting us to have 2 kfs kicking over 40 goals and that’s your “pass mark” it’s a bit of a stretch from reality.

I don’t think it’s a pass mark but I could see him kicking 40 goals next year, while being the chf that gets up and back a bit and delivers inside 50 as well. That would be a very good return. Really stoked with this pick up and I think he will surprise with how good he fits.

Some people are in dreamy land.

The key isn't what Luko kicks, or Georgiades kicks, or whoever we go with as third KPF kicks. The key is what they do as a collective. If Luko plays up the ground a bit and goes 30 goals with 30 assists that's a better result than 40 goals and 10 assists.

45 goals absolute minimum imo.

9 key forwards kicked 45 goals across the league in 2024 and 10 in 2023.

I'd imagine Georgiades is going to top our goalkicking, he did this year with 44.

We've had 5 instances of key forwards kicking 45 goals in the last 15 years, Schulz twice, Dixon twice and Marshall once. Only one of those players hit 50.

Port supporters have unrealistic expectations for what a key forward should be doing week in and week out, especially playing Hinkleyball. It comes up all the time in every discussion about a key forward.

Imagine if Mitch and Jack could both get over 40 and Rioli and another small forward over 25 each my oh my

My assumption is that we'll play 3 talls, with Georgiades and Luko being the fixed ones. The 3rd one I don't know who it'll be. There's question marks over Lord. Major concern over Marshall who otherwise I'd like to start. Esava is a use of space really.

But what I'd say is if we play 3 talls, a total of 100 goals between the 3 would be the pass mark. If they get a 120 between them then it means Ken's been fired in round 4 and we've made a major change in our forward entries.

What if he goes in to the coaching box and sacks Hinkley? I'd take that even if he kicks 0.18 for the season.

I think that's probably fair. If he could replicate his 2023 season (39.22 15GA) then that would decent.

The Bombers had 2 forwards kicking over 40 last season, and they sucked ass. So I don't think it would be crazy to have 2 forwards kicking in the 40s considering we dont have a Cameron/Curnow/Hogan type (Georgi was on track for 50+ though if he played all games).

* hurries to delete a couple of dozen posts shitcanning him *
My apologies for not referring to him as an ex-SUN by the way, surprised you didn't card me.

I reckon if he doesn’t kick 250 goals this season we’ve been absolutely fleeced here. That’s my minimum expectations imo.
Come on, that's only reserved for what some here have thought our young KPF's should kick in a season, over the years, or they should be dropped for Sam Gray/Kane Mitchell/Jed McEntee/Jake Neade/<insert 5 foot player here> who provides 'pressure'. As an experienced KPF, 500 goals minimum.
