I listened to his podcast today to try and reset some negativity on the bloke. Decent guests at times, but with more content I am now certain he's an annoying flog. He interviews Hardwick after their round 1 selections came out last year and it's clear dimma had a line through the bloke the minute he walked in the door.

Add Kornes to this list. Great runner, good tagger, sucked at football. Biggest chipscab we’ve ever had and every kick was as high as it was long. Hated watching him rack up 30 disposals with zero hurt factor week after week.

Lonie wasn't that bad, he was just a vanilla winger with a nice kick but absolutely zero physicality. He's definitely in the discussion for the softest player we've had but he doesn't rate a mention in the worst player stakes.

I don't know, Kornes leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth because of his later chipscab era (which was 100% Choco endorsed btw) and obviously his media personality, but he spent most of his career as one of the greatest taggers of all time who hurt the opposition the other way by being a hard running link man and playing within himself instead of fancying himself a quarterback.

Adam Morgan could be argued to be our most costly dud. Taken at pick 37 in the 1998 draft as a 17 year old (in that year each club could select one 17 year old), he played 3 games for a total of 8 possesions over five years. The biggest down side was we selected him over taking Pavlich as our 17 year old. He went undrafted that year. Like every other club (but not in the view of his Teal Cup coach Russell Ebert who rated him highly) we viewed Pavlich as having less up side because his junior dominance was put down to being due to his early physical development. Morgan was traded to the gullible Western Bulldogs where he played 14 games over the next 3 seasons for an average of 6 possessions per game.

Edit: Sam Skinner. To my amazement, he actually managed 2 games. Can only remember one of them and it was appallingly bad.

Sam Skinner was basically recruited after we delisted Jarrod Lienert. Now Jarrod was at best an average player who could play to the club’s instructions but when I saw Sam Skinner attempt to play as a backman I thought WTF
Yes, I did have a soft spot for Jarrod (I knew his grandfather) but Sam’s efforts were “appallingly bad”.

Well obviously players that are thirty that are still on the list would’ve played games by that stage. Yeah we haven’t recruited many thirty year olds but we’ve had plenty of dud one contract and done players, so not sure why age is such an issue.

Lindsay Thomas was thirty though and Atkins wouldn’t have to do much to be better than him.
