I know you might think I know Futbolista, but is Oliver McManus, Shaun's son? I think Shaun's eldest Lachlan, played colts/reserves for EF in 2022/23, but now playing ammo's at Nth Freo. I remember Shaun playing some good footy in the early 90's for EF as a teenager, before his Freo adventure.

I'll endevour to find out. He shows promise. Hard at it. Gives effort.

I think that sums EF colts side...all give 100% effort, just lack the class n polish of the top sides. Thanks mate.
Better times ahead for Old Easts mate. The next three years at least should see EF fighting for a colts flag and providing WA with many state players.

Claremont are going to have some proper competition which is great for the comp and WA footy.

WP, EF, SF are looking good and Subi will have their usual mercurial types up forward.

WA 2025 draft/2007 DOB Round 19 Colts/PSA Update

I don't know who to leave out of the top 50. Normally in WA they would be top 25.

I can't wait for next year's 18's championships.

I think they will be extremely exciting. It appears as though the Allies may have the best squad. WA can't be far behind and the Vics and SA players are always high quality.

I just can't fit all the players in a top 50 for WA, so I've decided to rotate players through 35-50 just to get them on the board. The trouble is, it will soon be 40 players that are too good to leave out on rotation. A nice problem for a change.

It's strange but Claremont players tend to go from low to high and players from other clubs tend to drop off a bit. I can't work it out. It's happening again.

Maybe because of there success recently they get to perform in finals and it draws attention?
You could be right. Unsure mate. Either way it's a bloody good list. I would like a little more out of mercurial forwards, Wesley Walley Jnr (S), Koby Evans (P), Darcy Montgomery (S), Ivan Starr (SF) and Basil Hart (PT) but I guess their task is a difficult one.

Between you and me, and please don't get me wrong beacuse I rate him, I feel sometime next year some wiseguys are going to suddenly appear and say Blake Kelly (SD) is too "Vanilla" to get drafted. I hate that term but I see it coming.

is Longmuir, Banfield and Mcmanus the only father sons? all 3 are showing promises.
Yea seems like some Father Sons for Frem and WCE

Fremantle - Longmuir and McManus
WCE - Banfield

At this stage Longmuir and Banfield are rated as likely to be drafted and McManus is more speculation from what I can tell, but it's still early.

I must say Dale Sutherland (P) is a damn good defender. Probably 187-188cm. Gives forwards nothing at all.....then rebounds off them. One to watch.

I'd say Rodriguez also. He's the best player we have right now or at least at this point in time. Toby Whan will go close. I don't see either of those guys dropping off.
Rodriguez clearly the next name to be partnered with those 2, just hes already 85kg acc to wafl? No doubt why hes already performing at the level he is, can it continue. Hes a good size height wise aswell

But id be interested where you had Otis Harvey or Martinson this time last year? And im not saying hes going undrafted, he has height on them

Good point mate. I think I had them both is the top 10 or 15....so yeah anything can happen for sure.....on the other hand where has this (EP) kid Luke Hallett come from? I don't want to pump his tyres too early but jeez.......WA has another good en

Dont know much about him

Otis Harvey you had at 3 and Martinson was at 8 at a similar time last year

There is the difference between guys that are early developers as under agers performing well that have a good body mass considering height vs those that are getting it done that has weight well behind there height

Also i dont probably watch enough to see where they figure on the kicking level spectrum

They were 2 of the better WA prospects at the u16s, seems like they either have not developed well or are out of favour with state selectors or recruiters or both, happens with a few players every year, they just dont develop or cant handle the pressure of their draft year or have issues with injury?

My last part would mention it

Theyd be in the early developers category

And im mot saying thats rodriguez, as i havnt seen enough. He has the extra height compared to both from memory and i know Futbolista mentioned 12 months ago Martinson had kicking issues a d hasnt for Rodriguez iirc

Rodriguez is a stronger bodied player, I personally loved his impact for WA at the u18s champs and I think that at least puts him on the radar to be drafted, he could be an early developer but we would only know that next year if he doesn't keep improving his athletic traits ect

Projecting a year or 2 out isn't an exact science, you might go at 80% accuracy compared to after the champs in their draft year where you might be 95% accurate, I hope people realise this and don't have ridiculous expectations from people giving you solid leads for the next 2 years...
