The only team that stop the Eagles was Collingwood, but who are they the Eagles are far to strong to beat and will go all the way with only 1 loss for the season. Though i'm a carlton supporter i still think the West Coast Eagles will win the cup and finish first very easy.

Many teams have started strong and droppped off.. anything can happen. Remember the saints last year? 10 in a row.

WCE have only played 1 game with a four quater 100% intensity effort and won by over 100 points. St KIlda were high on their success by R10 then crashed and burned. WCE are far from peaking.

Over the next 11 weeks, they play, Geelong, Melbourne, Bulldogs, and the kangaroos all in Melbourne. Geelong and Melbourne will definately beat them, and the way the dogs have been playing so will they. WC also have Sydney in Sydney which they will lose, and i can see them dropping their round 21 clash to fremantle, who will be fighting hard for a top 8 birth.

My top 8 will be as follows

Melbourne
Geelong
West Coast
Collingwood

Richmond
Adelaide
Freo
St Kilda

I put collingwood so high, because if they beat Melbourne this week, i think they will only lose 1 more game for the year, the game at the Dome against Stkilda. We are winning without some of our better players, like buckley, our first ruck Richards, and our best CHF Rocca, but have an awesome replacement in Cloke.

And then you wake up.

Eagles need to restructure there midfield before they can even dare to think about a finals birth.

Like Melbourne and Geelong would definately beat Fremantle? The most we will lose is another 3.If Melbourne only lose 1 more then it might come down to % but other than that WC will finish top.

It is early day's. The most dominant H & A team does not necessarily dominate final's. They say you almost need to lose one to win one. Long way to go but good to be recognized as the standout, halfway through. I had a feeling that this WCE group was capable of something special after watching some of their preseason games and Wizard cup. They are still to peak and they may not, but if they do watch out.

soory but i have to disagree with u all because WCE are a great team will not lose another game. ;) ;)

The difference is that they can play good football in Melbourne, in your last to trips down south, you have lost convinvingly to the team widely tipped for the spoon, and narrowly beat a team without their best player. It doesnt really matter where you finish, you wont win a Grand Final till you can beat QUALITY opposition at the G.

Are you kidding? I know I am biased at times, but this is just plain ridiculous. You won't even come close to making the finals! You only travel 4 times a year, you think it wouldn't be too hard for you.
I really do hope you are kidding for your sake buddy.

Fremantle won because they played direct footy against the Dees at the G, runninfg down the corridor from defence, kicking to Pavlich, going long to McPharlin. Eagles need Hasnen fit and firing across CHF, as well as McDoguall at FF if we are going to beat good teams at the G'.

Yes 3 goals such a big loss .What it doesn't matter that we were missing 4 or 5 of our starting 22,1 player for Richmond means more than that doesn't it?

Who was missing! Dont say Judd, cause Race shuts him down every time buddy!

vs Richmond.Wirrpunda was missing in both btw who is our best rebounding defender.

Its all well to say West Coast are the best team in the comp to date.....but alot of people are forgetting..the AFL grand final is held in Melbourne...lets just look at WCE's performances in Melbourne in 2005..

Wizard Homelaons Cup Grand Final - Telstra Dome - Defeated By Carlton (27 Points)
Round 9 V Colllingwood - MCG - Defeated By Collingwood (23 Points)
Round 11 V Richmond - MCG - Won by 2 Points
And we all know WCE are a hell of a lot better than Richmond...but look at the score...btw..thats Richmond without Nathan Brown...put him in and Richmond would have walked all over them

Now i'll point out these 3 teams, Carlton, Collingwood & Richmond last year found them selves all out of the 8...i'de hate to see wat would have happened had you taken on StKilda at the Dome...rather than Subi earlier this year.

You mention Brown yet no mention of Sampi,Stenglein,Wirrpunda or Gardiner????

Any team favourite for the flag shouldn't need to mention missing players, because those favourites for the flag have equally good players filling in for those missing in action.

Wheres your excuse for the loss to Collingwood? Judd....should i then mention Collingwoods missing guns, Buckley & Rocca?

And your loss to Carlton back in March? you tried pretty hard that night....full strength team too...

I never knew Eagles fans were this cocky. You know it will back fire on you lot. There is still MANY MANY weeks to go, what if Judd gets injured? anything can happen.

Sampi - Richard Tambling

Wirrpunda - David Rodan (season)

Wirrpunda and Gardiner - Nathan Brown (season)

Plus dodgy ump from wa biased d*ick - cost 4 goals.

Your injurys/suspension are as bad as ours.. dont go using that as an excuse. WCE were far from convincing on the ground that matters most for them. Yes you won, and it doesnt matter if its by 1 point or 100 points...

But losing to COLINGWOOD!!

Winning by 2 points against Richmond (remember still re-building believe it or not, just like Hawks....... alot of people are forgetting that.. )

Those two games doesnt do much for you guys when saying you can win at the G.

Wizard Cup?Look where that got Carlton

That is the biggest lack of respect for one of the games best defenders.Rodan doesn't even get anywhere near Wirrpunda in quality.
