When Cometti says, "How will it bounce?" , the ball actually hit the ground OVER the goal line so where or how it bounced after that was irrelevant. Other commentators including Whateley said the ball changed direction and bounced through. I guess it made it sound more dramatic.

Sorry DR but ball bounced in the square - unless my eyes are completely shot.

Watching live the camera angle made it look like the ball was going to the left of the goal and it appeared to bounce to the right. The angle on the replay showed that the ball was bending from left to right in the air and then bounced straight through. The ball hit the ground about 4 meters short just inside the left side of the goal square and bounced almost straight up. At that point I was afraid it would not get there or allow the Sydney player to get a touch on it. But fortunately it landed untouched across the goal line.

Cant wait for this tonight.

question guys, this years and last years documentaries the ride that was taped throughout the season how would we get our hands on a copy of each?

Might get The Ride part 1 from the Bulldogs shop. The Ride part 2 is still in the process of production.

"Something went wrong mid way through 2014"

Yeah the players worked out he was the worst coach in the history of our club.

But Macca had his particular strengths still.

On the documentary great piece. Great hearing from former presidents, former players, current players and all those involved with the club.

Planning to sit down and watch the GF tomorrow night.

Of all the people they could possibly have interviewed, I didn't expect Mick Malthouse to be (one of) the one(s) that made me cry. His story about training on a square of unwatered grass because the oval was taken by cricket and trying to sell potential future players on that vision, juxtaposed over footage from our premiership was just incredibly powerful.

There were lots of great moments scattered throughout the show but that was one of my favourites.

That was a fantastic watch. From the top to the bottom our club is in good hands.

Its amazing that Mike Sheehan with his links to the club going back to childhood doesn't follow us. The story of being carried up to the stands because of a broken leg an hour before the game by Bernie Lee and Bob Spargo was a cracker. I can only presume that his allegiance to Melbourne must be a familial and very strong one.

The images at the end of us lifting the cup and music in the background of the doco went well.

My image I haven't forgotten is on Dahlhaus holding the cup when we were doing the lap around the G.
The images of Morris' tackle, T.Boyd's goal and the 10-20 seconds after goes through my mind everyday. Like I'm watching it from my seat again.

On the 'against all odds' documentary I was a bit disappointed, but maybe my hopes were too high. The way Bevo spoke was incredible, and seeing Mick Malthouse was a great surprise. Although different types of films the 'Into the Fury' doco I rated a lot higher.
