Thats just stupid! Billings is having a good year this year. His not kicking as many goals but he's setting up plenty.
What is billings doing not to your liking?

Reckon at least another good size backman & either a good midfield speedster & possibly an indigenous unpredictable player, that has the uncanny ability to know when, where & how to get & use the ball. Like Rioli, Betts or even a Hill
im not liking how hes not kicking goals. membrey kicks 8 in 2 weeks and he doesnt even get a mention. if it was billings the pats on the back would be enourmous. i dont know if its the coaches orders or whatever. why is he getting his kicks in the back half of centre and also why is he not playing a wingard role hes a true goalkicking half forward. yet these days he seems to be in and under packs more than i would like him to be. weve got enough in and under players. hes suppose to be the cream on the cake.

A slippery small forward would be nice, outside speedster I'm not sold on a beckman. Most teams are building around a midfield with less reliance on KPBs. I think if we get more defenders it has to be guys who can run and carry. We unfortunately built our current team around KPs and now seem to have developed a game plan that relies less on them.
The indigenous guys seem to have a bit of x factor, it's probably what we lack a bit, a tempo leader like Milne was, someone who revs the guys and fires the team up.

Bont is Kouta 2.0 (Jared Brennan??) and will get all the same hype.
Billings is Steve Johnson 2.0 and will dominate but never be THE guy.
Did you know that Steve Johnson was the only player in the comp last year to ave 20 touches, 1 goal and 1 goal assist per game? Go look at the stats this year and I think you will find Billings more than stacks up for a 'HFF'.
As for what we need - Mids, mids and more mids. Dylan Sheil or Jake Kelly would be a dream but would probably cost a heap.

Bontempelli gets tagged every week and has a major impact on the game with his possessions. Takes a good defender when he goes forwrad, wins clearances takes strong overheard marks, Billings is a seagull. His skills are excellent but he is not the impact midfielder we were sceaming out for at that draft.
IMO his mate in Sinclair gives the team more midfield value Billings, because he is prepared to runand carry and take the game on.

Think Montagna can go another 2-3 years injury permitting ala M.Boyd at the Bulldogs. He really is playing very, very well this year on a HBF. Out Fisher in Carlisle and obviously Roo is irreplaceable.

Rofl... Bony never gets tagged. There's a difference between a hard tag & a run with. How'd Bont go last year against Armo in the comeback game cos that was the match up for about 65% of the game. Bont had about 20, Armo had 45.... Defensively, he is shit & teams need to work on how to exploit it
