LOL I will park it when you do
If dalrymple left because a coach overruled him on a Cat B rookie then he is not the type of person you want at the club. FFS it’s not like he was overruled on our number one pick. Childish bullshit and we are definitely better off with Power running the show he knows how to work as a team.
Btw have a look in the mirror before you hand out advice

Yeah, nah. You roll in here potting everyone and calling them names while not even knowing what you’re talking about. It’s laughable. I’ve wasted enough time on your dross.

You’re “recalling” that Dalrymple had issues with McCartney. Dalrymple never said he left because of issues with McCartney, he said his issue was with Beveridge overstepping his role. Myself and other posters are referring to what Dalrymple said himself. So park the attitude until you go and have a google and get up to speed with everyone else.
Dalrymple left because Power got the top job and he didn’t

Guys I used to see and talk to the person who had to deal with Dal shit that was going on within the club at the time. Can I tell I laugh at the romancing that goes on about Dal that goes on here from time to time!
Yes Dal did leave because he never got Powers job! He thought he was owed the job and he was the only one that could do it.
He was never going to get the job as he become extremely difficult to deal with for months eg. The whole recruitment department were going to quit if the club didn’t do anything about the situation, he was arrogant and nasty and couldn’t be told anything when dealing with those 16 people plus all the coaching staff! This was going before the job was advertised!
Bevo had very little to do with his demise.
The person who had to handle Dal said he tried and tried to sort the situation out but Dal refused to listen to him and others. The situation was solved when Sam got the job and he left the Dogs! Problems solved! The best appointment the Dogs have made in some time I think.

Footy Assified spent about 10 minutes on how bad the Eagles are [and Cornes reckons they should get a priority pick] with no mention of us apart from 'The Dogs did have lots of positives'.

You still watching that junk, Fossie?
Nah it came on after a rivetting program about a woman who was beating up her husband and thought they might have a glowing review of our performance so left it on :(

Perhaps Fossie was expecting a review of the husband bash.
Hang on I'll just ask him

So I posted the below in the cats game autopsy thread:

"JUH could be anything, but right now he’s comfortably the worst kick for goal among key forwards in the comp - and there are some pretty shitty kicks in that group.

This year he and Naughton have kicked 10 goals between them in 4 games. Cameron/Hawkins have kicked 17, Curnow/McKay have 24 (5 games), Daniher/Hipwood have 17, even Larkey has kicked 8 on his own and his team is a ******* mess.

It’s unacceptable, and my guess is we’ll have about $2m in cap space tied up in both by the end of the year."

Scanning through my phone and this came up from Robbo's tackle (I'm not normally a Herald Sun reader but if something pops up in the news feed I'll take a look:

"Ugle-Hagan has six goals from four games and Naughton has four goals from four games, although it must be noted Naughton is playing higher and on Saturday night had 15 disposals and took six marks. Still, it’s 10 goals from the pair. At Carlton, Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay have kicked 24 goals. At Geelong, Tom Hawkins and Jeremy Cameron have kicked 17 goals, as have Joe Daniher and Eric Hipwood at Brisbane."

I know journos cribbing from bigfooty isn't particularly news, but you'd think they'd maybe try and put another key forward pair in the mix so it wasn't virtually identical.

Finally a sober thought from Slobbo

Hmm...has anyone ever seen Robbo and Hutchy31 in the same room/pub at the same time...?

Maybe it's like Fight Club and I'm the Narrator. I'm definitely not Tyler.

I do drink a lot, have an "apple"-type physique and commonly ramble about footy in nonsensical ways.

Although I do have a vocabulary that's beyond primary school level and I really hate Essendon, so maybe not......

Heard what Luke Darcy said on MMM to Cornes about him being a loner in media because of his attack on people. Caro called it out on Footy Classified sticking up for Cornes and said Luke was way outline especially being a bulldogs board member. No doubt Luke was getting stuck into Cornes because his relentless attack on Bevo.

Caro calling anyone out of line is classic irony.

Go Jasper. Also heard on the news he is getting up early morning to watch the dogs v bombers game.

Jasper Stubbs is a 22-year-old amateur golfer from Melbourne’s bayside suburbs who barracks for the Western Bulldogs and has a life back-up plan to work for his father’s skip bin business.
On Thursday, he’ll tee it up at Augusta National Golf Club alongside Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and co in the Masters.

Stubbs won his place in the field with a win in last year’s Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship.

“It’s a completely surreal feeling and has taken a bit of time to get used to but we’ll see how well I can do,” Stubbs said.

Massive kudos to Darcy for sticking up for Bevo. Darcy knew he would get slated for going at Kane like that but was willing to take the hit to support his mate. Whatever you think of the job Bevo is doing, Kane has had Bevo derangement syndrome for the last two years, and someone needed to stick up for him.

I don't mind that Bevo has a rent free apartment in Kane's head, actually.

While English is around there’s no reason for Darcy to take on the lead ruck duties for another 2-3 years, until he’s 23-24 years old and his body is completely ready. Even solid units like Goldstein weren’t first ruck until 22-23. Until then, he can be a pretty devastating forward/ruck and learn his ruck craft without being battered around.
Darcy has gone from 74% TOG (vs GCS) to 67% TOG (vs WCE) to 55% TOG (vs GEE). I’m hoping just in-game situation based and not load management or he’ll need a rest soon.

I think the hope he can build to a consistent 70-75% this year with 20-25% in the ruck, and then next year increase to 75%-85% taking a bigger but still secondary share of the ruck time. I think longer term Darcy as the #1 and Croft as the #2 has a lot of promise depending on whether Croft can lock down a KPD post.
