I'm certain Craig will not be coaching next year.

Lets see which poster(s) can correctly pick which week will be NC's last. Announcing he is not coaching in 2012 does not qualify as walking away and would make round 24 his last week.

I think Round 19. In honour of the 19th man, another showdown loss will be the final nail in the coffin. The scary thing is looking over the fixture i doubt if we will win another game.

he will announe that he will not coach in 2012 after the loss to Sydney (during the bye week)

however he will stay on and see out the season

Round 24 will be his last game. It will either be announced in the lead up to the game or just after so we can spend good time looking for a replacement.

I went with round 24. He'll see out the year, but it will be announced within the next month that he's not continuing next season.

It will be announced after the Geelong massacre or Sydney capitulation. He will coach until the end of the year though.

Not sure if this is the norm, but Steven Trigg sat in on the press conference last night.

I've decided that I'm happy for Craig to coach over the next 24 months.

I fail to see and advantage of getting rid of him - if he goes it is going to be an even worse 2012,2013 and 2014

I will throw tomatoes at you, Cap.:).

Okay then, I have asked others this. Do you think he has coached well this year? What qualities do you think means he should be our coach for the next 2 years?

This year he has been massively let down by Players (like Vince) injuries (Davis, Mackay et al) and poor PR from the club.

Lets be frank, if people on this board has their way, we get a coach with a 3 year licence to tank the shit out of this club.

Craigy is clearly a passionate AFC man, he knows how to coach - as he put it himself this position is new to him (being shit)

from what I can gather from people who are in the know, Craigy is fantastic with the kids and very knowledgeable coach.

For me, someone who has gone through what he is going through is the perfect person to lead this club because lets face it - we were always going to be shit at some point - Craigys problem was they fed us BS and it's backfired, but everyone makes mistakes, it is even better that it is a mistake that will actually benefit him and the club (the PR bullshit and excessive talking up the club)

but I'm not about to sack someone for talking themselves up.

So do you think he has coached well this year? You are not concerned about selections, game plan, midfield set ups? Poor tackling skills?

Choco also went through it, should he have stayed?

Great post Cap.

I'll take a slice of this one too.. except that it will be Trigg or Chapman making the announcement that he won't be coaching in 2013, not Craig himself.

I am concerned, the thing I can see the Craig is having to try new things given the pathetic form of blokes like Vince (this needs a thread)

For me our Best midfield setup 6 is Thompson, Sloane, Dangerfield, Vince, Mackay & Douglas

The problem I see is there is only 1 bloke who is pulling his weight and 1 bloke who with 23 games experience is expected to take the midfield load too.

Dangerfield, I don't know what is going on I reckon he is injured or as Craigy said they are trying to keep him back for fear of him injuring himshelf

And Douglas well he could be interchangble with VB or when fit Brodie Smith who I reckon is going to be a find and a half,.

So yes I am concerned, but I can also understand that he ain't exactly dealing with a team of fit 1st rounders.

Turning potential wins into orchestrated losses is tanking.

Turning losses into losses isn't tanking.
