When will the Carlton FC Arrive? Part 2

How is a wirey old 65yr old(?) who’s 3 weeks into the job going to sway Cerra way from a side that’s just played off in a GF(possibly premiers)?

If he really is keen on Dees, I think they work out a way of getting it done.
If Cerra wants to get to the Dees a deal will get done. A third club will be involved probably (maybe Cats - with Jordan Clarke).

You do realise that tapping out is an acknowledgement you've lost yeah?

So what you're saying is you're glad most Carlton supporters have acknowledged they've lost any arguments they were trying to have but you're happy to continue throwing wildly irrelevant and delusional haymakers like this nugget in the very same post..

But yeah, 'scrapping for territory' :drunk: :drunk: :drunk:

It’s acknowledging it’s a pointless comparison with no real endpoint as neither club has won a flag in a couple of decades and only Carlton has won a final in the past 10 years.

6200+ days without a finals win puts Carlton ahead in my book, but it’s a genuine cripple fight whichever way you dice it.

Didn’t Ollie Wines approach the Blues a couple of years ago asking them to trade for him?

Geez imagine him and Walsh in that midfield. SOS probably thought Setterfield, Dow and Kennedy would get it done.

They had Wines and Papley asking for trades there in the same off-season but SOS just sat on his bum and twiddled his thumbs instead and walked away with a 33 year old Eddie Betts

all due respect young kids need to see the power of this football club when it gets up and running it just takes over the competion

That's some very impressive revision of history there.

Give yourself an uppercut !!

I'm all for trolling Carlton, but wasn't SOS specifically against trading in Betts?

He needs to come out and say hes not coaching next year
He has said it many times. Does he have to say it every time someone mentions him on BigFooty?

He has said it. Directly after our last game. He then got his manager to re-state as much to media a week later.

It’s whether Carlton can buy him out of that decision or not.
Hawks being cheap (or smart) and trying to minimise the money how much of the payout they are responsible for.

Blues are being calculative (or smart) and trying to structure it in a way that we don't blow our load.

Carlton fans what do you think? I’m a really deep thinker 😝
1947-1968= 21 year drought (0 flags)
1968-1995 Carlton premiership run=27 years (8 flags)
1995-2022= 27 year drought (0 flags)
2022-2043= 21 year premiership run (8 flags)
I like your thinking mate.

Lets be honest... who cares.. the more they fu*K up it takes the spotlight off the f-ups my club keep making.... happy for Carlton to be a laughing stock for maybe another 2 years at least. *please god*

Seriously is Clarko being a campaigner?

He needs to come out and say hes not coaching next year or he is. The thing is nobody believes anything he says.
He keeps on saying it.

hehe - You think Collingwood isn't a laughing stock over the mess they made of coaching?

Of Eddie's bullshit?

We still see you :D

Collingwood set out a process and got the best available candidate without any fanfare or soap opera.

It’s not really comparable.

He said it when Teague still had the job and was contracted for next year (standard fare when you don't want to be seen to put a bloke out of a job).
His manager just said that he wants to travel and study, which is pretty vague considering the current climate regarding travel. Was that statement made before or after Teague had been sacked?
Gone completely silent since, while speculation has continued to swirl. If he wanted to silence the talk and stop the hundreds of calls that himself and his manager are likely receiving, then he could easily have put out a statement in the past few weeks to shut the whole thing down, but he hasn't.

Until such time as he categorically puts it to rest, now that there's air between him finishing at Hawks and Teague getting sacked, or Carlton appoint somebody else into the role, the speculation will continue.
