Who is un proven at Hawthorn? Every club has talent on there lists

For years we were berated by Hawthorn fans for how overrated the draft is, how the messiah Clarko will keep topping up and how they will bounce back to be a premiership contender in the next year or two.

Now they've bottomed out like literally everyone predicted years ago but delusional Hawthorn supporters, we have to suffered persistent bickering about how no name kids picked in the 3rd and 4th rounds of the draft are the BEST crop of young talent in the comp.

Alot of our players are, but point for me now is that Hawks been sh*t for a few years so it makes sense to have more talent than those that are good.

As per my post (#151), even the good teams have good youth in amongst the stars littered, see Port Adelaide, see Brisbane.

Obviously your bias is seeping through and that is your prerogative but suggesting players are stars (see plural here) is a bit overzealous. No one in this thread has come to your defence, a few have suggested he (Worpel for example) is on the way to how you view them but not there yet.

Obviously, they get 1 first and 1 2nd rounder every year!

But the point i made was alot of unproven talent for us in particular is even when they got on the list they haven't played many games, for reasons such as; injuries and Clarko at the time not wanting to play kids every week.

With young sides, it is often easy to see kids getting games but looking at your list, those young fellas haven't been given those opportunities (yet).

Taking into consideration the 2020 draft (and earlier) none have played more than 50% of games (if 22 are available per year).

I don't really mind mate, you can believe that if you want.

Also don't mind what people view Worpel as either, he'll show it in 2022.

And in the context which i said that was correct. How is he meant to know more about how we'll setup or what we'll do.

List wise it's much easier for an oppo fan to gauge or be correct but not in setups most of the time.

No.. that’s not the point. Point is Hawthorn have the Most unproven talent. A fair amount of our talent is, just drafted, been injured or neglected in the case Clarko liked playing favourites.

Hawthorn have drafted what 3 top 20 picks over the past 12-13 years? One of those picks (Burton) you traded. How on earth could you possibly have the most unproven talent on a list, when you have ignored the draft for over a decade?

Hawthorn might have the most unproven players, but they don’t have the most ‘unproven talent.’
