LDU if stays fit becomes the best player in the game

Otherwise I’m backing Zac Fisher to dominate off hbf and be in the convo for AA

For the Pies Finn McRae to get sustained senior time at last.

Blooded fairly early by Bucks, popped back in the 2s to marinade by Fly, played one extremely sturdy 50 minutes late in the year laying 8 tackles.

Has all the tools for an extremely effective mid and with Tay gone he'll slot in to share minutes with Mitchell. Fly sets them up to succeed, this boy has been beautifully set up.

A few candidates for Freo.

Hayden Young could really thrive after a full pre-season training as a midfielder.

Heath Chapman's potential move to the wing could be a huge boost for us, but his body has been letting him down the last season or so.

I expect Neil Erasmus to move out of the sub role and cement himself as best 22. Could see him spending time on a HFF and rotating through the midfield.

Tom Emmett is a bit of a dark horse, but he had a really strong first two games at the end of the season and Schultz is leaving a big hole in our forward-line.

Just had a thought, both Fogarty and Martin have the ability to shift up a gear. So does Cuningham. Only two of these three will play you’d imagine, so at least two of them should show some improvement if they want to make that best 22 spot theirs.

Get in a top kicking coach to build a dependable mindset, and I think it could be McKay.
His mental process for goal kicking just seems like a mess: clean that up and he could become the juggernaut his size and ability says he should be.
The difference between good H and bad H is immense.

Probably the same as this year – Trent Rivers. Hopefully gets more mid time in '24, as he has all the tools to thrive in that role.

Pickett, Petty and JVR the other main contenders.

If Mitch Lewis plays every game he could kick 60 goals and we probably end just outside the top 10.

More likely is he misses anywhere from a few to a lot and we rise only a little up the ladder.
Yep. We don't need Mitch to improve. We just need him on the field (which is a form of improvement maybe?)

For the Dogs, James O'Donnell came from nowhere last season as a CatB rookie after minimal footy in recent years and a late VFL preseason. Did remarkably well considering.

With a full preseason and (hopefully) a new defensive system to work within, he can cement himself as a quality tall defender.

Don’t think he has all the tools at all , kicking lacks penetration, lack of pace is a concern , but as an inside mid that’s ok, will be given a good run at it no doubt. I don’t see it , hope I’m wrong , he is a good egg who has had some personal heartache to deal with for one so young

Has to be Clayton Oliver. Could be anything now Max Gawn is his mum.

Joel "Sniffy" Smith, expect him to have a little siesta break at the start of the year, but boy-oh-boy. Kicked two BIG goals against Hawthorn Hawks after having a big fat cocaine bender, a real big fat one, was a Sunday game he tested POSITIVE or so I'm told, boy was still high.

Everyone else I expect to go backwards tbh.

Thanks for the correction I did mean to say inside mid so my post did need correction.

Fly said he met with Finn more than any other player in 2023 to assure him.of his place in the clubs plans going forward, so I'm basing this more off that than anyi insight of my own.
