The Australian office is unsurprisingly shit , feel like the main character wasn't given a script and is just doing a thank god your here
Its almost they went out of their way to make sure it would be a crap TV show.

So much "material" they could have used from our Australian culture to make this a unique version of The Office (Aus).

While I havent watched an episode, the trailer I saw completely put me off even contemplating giving this a chance.

How can you declare they almost ‘went out of their way to make crap TV’ and that they missed a chance to use unique Australian material when you haven’t watched a single episode? This trend of making absolutist statements about things people haven’t even seen is bizarre.

I saw the trailer and it was beyond awful, its very clear they have botched this. Admittedly I did read reviews online as well.
Going by the general consensus on here, they have validated my opinion.

I would be surprised if more than a handful of posters on here actually gave it a pass mark.

Gotta say the trailer for the office Australia has swayed me not to bother

Looked meh

Dont waste your time, its the correct decision.

The Office Australia review round-up: ‘Doomed’ and ‘toothless’

The Office review: Australia's take on Ricky Gervais's classic wastes its resources

Been rewatching Scrubs. Theres obviously some jokes that are a bit dated but it mostly holds up. So many great scenes.
One of my favourite shows. I just wish they didn't make S9.

It would be interesting to do a Next Gen based around Izzy, Sam, Jack and Jennifer in a few years though.

Second season of Pachinko continues the mastery of the first, one of the finest shows of the decade. The performances, filmmaking, writing is stunning. Don't know if it does numbers but if ever there was a show that deserved to finish its story, this is it.

Disclaimer has all the ingredients to be very good. A summer fling that ends in tragedy comes back to haunt a woman and her marriage. Alfonso Cuaron and Cate Blanchett would give anything a pretty sizeable headstart, and yet the whole thing does feel a little low stakes. Intrigued enough, but not something at present that would crack a Top 10. Leila George however...

I watched the first episode of the Australian Office, just so I could judge it on its actual merits. It was... fine. It wasn't great but neither was it a dumpster fire everyone seems to think it is. That said, I don't hold the US Office up as some unrivalled sitcom for the ages, it was good but I lost interest somewhere around season four or five, much prefer the shorter, sharper UK Office. The positives are Felicity Ward is actually quite good in the lead role and the gender flip stops it from being a direct rip-off, the bad is that it still manages to seem like a direct rip-off, a pastiche of the US show largely. The work from home angle is fresh and there's a couple of good jokes in the first episode, but the mockumentary style just seems too dated. The Gareth/Dwight character of Lizzy is the poorest, it's almost like they have asked the actress to do a female Dwight, which puts her on a hiding to nothing.

Worth keeping in mind the first season of the US Office was pretty trash until people started to warm up to the characters as they were fleshed out. I'll watch the second episode.

The bureau. For the second time.
Damn I miss that show. I heard they’re doing a US version. Can’t imagine it being half as good.

We will be finding out a lot sooner than I thought!

I am remaining cautiously optimistic. I was anything but that when George Clooney was initially involved, but now...

God damn, I love Shrinking. Not sure what it is, doesn't feel overdone (except maybe some of the sarcasm at times), has a wholesome feeling to it that I felt with Ted Lasso.
.. and funny I should say that, as Roy Kent makes an appearance, thanks Apple TV contract I assume?

Harrison Ford is bloody entertaining in it.

Can't wait for more eps!

Slow Horses

Binged season 1 yesterday and enjoying it so far. Off to season 2 today.

Recently finished Industry too where both shows maybe a couple of years ago I watched the trailer and didn't find them very interesting but decided to check them out later and have been pleasantly surprised.

*Season 2 feels off. The pacing, the change in how its shot. I miss the grunginess London vibes. Matched very well with the espionage genre.
