I think if we had these honest, transparent insights a bit more often people wouldn't get so excited about titbits.

And it's the same sort of thing that you want from a coach in order to influence the rules to be interpreted in your favour too.
There has been plenty of discussion and insights into Hird and despite them saying they've had enough, their responses tend to suggest they can't get enough of his tidbits.

Do you think the playing group are happy with his comment?
The ones he's spoken to probably are. The others probably don't care. But in reality, how would we know? However I think it's safe to assume that he'd had chats with the other people in his workplace about who their new coach will be and his statement reflected those chats.

Re Merrett and in seriousness.

Was he asked if Hird should coach, assuming he gets the job by default. Or was it suggested that an independent panel could recommend him as coach.

Context is always king.

So why follow up with he was taken out of context?

You're probably right. Why wouldn't they be happy. Young fit men on a load of $$$ popping pills, slamming drinks in Ibiza and traveling Europe.
and then there’s Parish, probably sober in Fiji with the fiancé reading books. ****ing nerd.

I see. Now he cares about optics. I guess he follows the Barham school of leadership.
It is completely implausible that he spoke off the cuff when asked without warning and has since been reeled in by the club.

Not to mention it has now become apparent to him that the club is actually batshit enough to have him coach again.
