Not in finals I wouldn't. He becomes a liability. Jack Crisp kicked more goals than him in last year's finals. De Goey kicked the same amount playing midfield. Mc Stay kicked more in 1 less game. The heat goes up in finals and the pretty stuff Curnow dishes up does not cut it.

You are taking a sample size of one, his first final series. There are numerous players in history who have had really quiet first games of finals only to dominate them later.

Depends who you play and where.
Not every team has the luxury of not leaving the MCG and only playing interstate teams for a whole finals series including the biggest game of all in the grand final.
It is just the quirks of the draw and finals system but any knowledgable footy fan is taking Curnow over any of your forwards on your whole list.

Nope I wouldn't touch a finals liability. Collingwood has had enough of them over the years. He played 3 finals and flopped in all of them. I want players who can win Premierships. Perhaps that is what Carlton have forgotten the last 30 years.

If you can't get up for Round 0 - for one of the greatest innovations of this sport in our time, when can you? I'm ready to put a line through Collingwood already. This round was the equivalent of a prelim atmosphere and they showed they just aren't made for it this season.
