The mathematics of Carlton:
29 years since last premiership
25 years since making a grand final
24 years without a top 4 four finish
41 years for 2 flags
5 wooden spoons
7 coaches this century
0 points scored in first 55 minutes
12.5% win ratio against Collingwood.

So the calculation is:
29+25+24(41/2)/5-7*(0*.125)= A huge steaming pile of shite.

You forgot to mention the Carlton games.

But then again, that's just business as usual for Collingwood.

As I said, Collingwood are a team which have proven they can quickly regroup from a down season to launch back into premiership contention.

Carlton meanwhile haven't contended for over two decades.

And what a magnificent 20 something years it has been!
One day , do you think you might come up with some new material instead of cutting and pasting every reply ?

You know, you can go into whatever mathematical equation you want , the reality is that Collingwood is no closer to flag number 17, than to Carlton and that is the facts of the matter

They are behind Carlton.

Really? 24 years without a top four finish, that cant be right, no club for that long can be that bad - surely not

Yep true story. Carlton and Gold Coast are the only two teams not to have a top 4 finish since 2000. In the age of equalisation: how pathetic is that!!.

Carlton truly are the St.Kilda of the 21st Century.

lol.... wow, year 2000, wasnt that when we had like the year2000 IT bug and the world was going to collapse?

So, if you were born then, you would have been a baby, went through kindy, then primary school, then secondary and even finished a double degree in that time frame,

Simply amazing, thats why I found it hard to believe

Yeah. We were all using flip phones and still on windows 95 when Carlton last finished top 4.
To acquire 5 spoons and zero top 4 finishes in nearly a quarter of a Century is an amazing achievement by Carlton. Hard to do.

It's been pretty easy to cut and paste the same material when Carlton have consistently underperformed in all my time on BigFooty.

The equation is quite simple - if Carlton ever do something of note, I'll no longer be able to use the 'same old material'....

Nick Haynes an interesting pick up for Carlton.

He was a jet a few years back, but seems to have fallen out of favour at GWS.

Has he still got what it takes to be a point of difference?

Don't think we are getting him to really be a point of difference. Got him for nothing and will provide some more experience and leadership to the backline. If he stays healthy at the very minimum he is good depth

Putting aside the details. The real reason this thread came about is essentially ‘old money’ v ‘new money’

Carlton is the ‘old money’ (was on 16 flags a while ago), Pies are the new money (just won their 16th)

Old money comes with prestige, sophistication and class.

New money comes with big heads, tacky clothes and wishing they were Old money out of pure envy

You don’t have to be a genius to figure this out. This is Blues v Pies in a nutshell.

^^^^^^^^

And here come the reinforcements!

Misery, company, and all that.

And it's safe to say there would not be a Collingwood supporter on the planet who would be 'envious' of Carlton...

Didn’t have Harry Perryman in my role player bingo.

When do Collingwood pay another team to take his contract?
