Shame that the so called better side in the Pies, couldn't make finals

Maybe if they could have beaten "soft draw" North by more they may have got there on %

Maybe if they beat Essendon in 1 of those 2 encounters, or the Dockers

Just maybe
It’s not a shame. We got what we deserved for a noticeable drop off in intensity from the flag. You guys were steaming towards a top 2 finish and then somehow managed to nearly miss the 8. Came home like Oscar Pistorius with his blades on backwards. We finished the year rolling the premiers, you legends and running Sydney to 3 points up there. I realise all the players for us that played in these games are now in their early 70s apparently but I’ll take one, slow campaigners over young, shit campaigners anyday

From 1892 then, when both clubs were existing.

But again 9999 of 10000 people will compare in the same comp. Not outside of it.

Back to thread, Collingwood.
No i don't think so. Carlton still better we are your grand final lord and masters after all!:laughv1:

Fast forward 100 years when Collingwood are sitting on 30 flags, and Carlton still haven't made a Grand Final since 1999, and we'll still be hearing this same drivel...
What else have they got? After 8th over 9th this year and Walsh’s Gary Ayres medal in the year we won the flag it’s really just emasculating Nick and hoping out mids are now that old they’re as slow as Carltons

So over the entire season, we were better yeah?

Ladder says so. You guys were flying mid year when we were horrendous and then we half regrouped as you guys fell away due partly to injuries but I think that put an out in the players minds. The intensity in that final was abysmal. That’s a mindset not personnel. Either of us finishing top 4 or missing the 8 wouldn’t surprise. If we can stay healthy our age demographic means nothing. If you guys stay healthy you’ll be every chance but teams with quick midfields will worry you still

I’d barrack for a team full of telemarketers over Carlton.

Apparently he averaged as many hard ball gets as Bont and Petracca 🤭
And Heeney.
And Warner.

The list goes on.

And the statistics were shared to support it.

But you can have Walsh's 0.5 extra hard ball gets a game in exchange for his far inferior ball use and decision making.

Not to mention the occasional loose ball get from Daicos whilst Walsh is his direct opponent, that results in a match winning goal.
