In 2023 Carlton got smacked in a prelim. Then the following year found themselves 60-0 in an elimination final.

Well we out flogged them in the 5 wins compared to the Pies... But if u want to say the Pies were more successful vs Bottom 4 teams and less successful against top 4 sides than Carlton then be my guest...

Any explanation re the records vs top 4 teams Fudgey?

Why did the Pies suck so bad compared to the Blues vs them?

Well Brisbane were the Premiers and we beat them twice.

Nonetheless, I don't think any Collingwood supporter has shied away from the fact 2024 was a disappointing year. It is always a disappointing year for Collingwood when we don't contend for the premiership, let alone make finals.

However, it was clearly a year for the ages for Carlton supporters, the way they have been carrying on. Despite only sneaking into the top 8 by the skin of their teeth, putting in one of the most embarrassing finals displays in the history of the game, and losing both home and away games to Collingwood.

Oh well, it's all relative...

So you're acknowledging now that Carlton did in fact finish 5th in 2023, by virtue of the fact Brisbane weren't a top 4 team in 2024?

Or is that just for this narrative?

Right but uve been telling all of us that the only reason we finished above the Pies is because of our easy fixture and double ups vs bottom 4 teams...

We had 2 more wins vs top 4 teams and 1 more win vs bottom 4 teams than the Pies... I wonder which was more impactful?
