Carl v Coll

Port 16 win %114 v Sydney 17 win %126
Geel 15 win %112 v Brisbane 14 win %122
GWS 15 win %109 v Hawks 14 win %118
Coll 12 win %102 v Carl 13 win %110
North 3 win %63 v Melb 11 win %98
Rich 2 win %63 v Ess 11 win %93

Pies opponents won 80 H&A games, much higher % (best indicator of quality) and then 7 finals

Baggers opponents won 63 H&A games and just 2 finals.

Only a Bagger would compare the pair and think they had a tough fixture...because they group Brisbane with Gold Coast 🤣🤣
Stop it.

You're letting facts get in the way of their narrative.

If you keep going, they might come to the realisation that Carlton aren't as good as they think they are. And we don't want that, because they might then realise they need to improve their list, game plan, etc.

Listen up....how abvout you go through the fixture NOW for both sides and tell everyone who has teh easy run ahead of the results ...instead of makeyuppy after the fact stories you read to each otehr as you huddle together in the shade away from teh heat of the mexican sun?

Just a thought..

PS I even bothered to put the first 13 games up for your lot previously and got ZERO commentary despite all teh whining about the 2025 fixture from your already give up on 2025 season supporters.
Only a Carlton supporter would think that assessing fixture difficulty in December 2024 for the 2025 season would be better and more accurate than assessing it after we have actually seen how well each of the teams perform in 2025.

Carlton supporters.... they are a very special breed.

Thats a little unfair. Carlton earned their soft draw, and just as well because their fans stay away when they are crap. It can't always be Geelong and Collingwood playing finals.

A little Sydney style encouragement and Carlton could be Richmond all over again. They just need some finals performers.

Why would anybody use 2024 results to declare who has the easiest fixture in 2025?

Nobody knows which teams will be tough in 2025 yet. A team being strong in 2024 is no guarantee of being strong again in 2025.

You wouldn't have got commentary as Pies fixture is what it is..doesn't change much from year to year. AFL use us in opening round to get a crowd in NSW, get an early Easter GABBA clash, ANZAC day is there, Gather Round AO game will be there, squeeze an early season clash against Carlton in somewhere, and a small Melbourne club will want to play us in an anniversary game to get a crowd.

That was our 2024 and is the same for 2025 fixture, if we are going to be strong in 2025 we will win more than we lose.

Thing change quickly - teams go from flukey flags to nowhere in a year- just have a look in the mirror if you want evidence of that.

Give us a break, Premiership hangovers are a killer.

Meanwhile, at Carlton....

'We really don't want to start the season off playing a strong interstate team at their home ground, so can you please excuse us from Opening Round, and ensure our first game is against a team of 18 year olds who are $1.05 for the wooden spoon?

Two further games in the next 5 rounds against the other bottom 3 teams from 2024 would be much appreciated too, thanks.

The cheque's in the mail.'

Thanks for making my point- you cant declare an easy fixturw after the fact - when before the fact no one really knows...

so the after the fact declarations are just what exactly? hmmm...sound like excuses.

but but but

Carlton has to play a fresh and fit bunch of 18 year olds - by the time your bunch of bludgers get to play Richmond they will be banged up tired and sore, anither example fo teh AFL making it easy for COllingwood

QED

..as usual your logic is flawed- and you can thank me for schooling you - again.

We have played Richmond Round 1 every year for ages. When we were at the bottom every year no one complained and now Richmond are it's an issue. North is also a scheduled game for Good Friday every year. Maybe we should let the Pope know Good Friday should be moved to suit the AFL fixture...

Still no argument offered to show the Blues were better than Collingwood in 2024, fred needs a title edit.

Well in 2024, it was the 'Pies leading the Blues at full time. Twice.

Play on ;) .

I know for a fact that you can count at least to 9 and 9th isnt good enough to play finals - therefore you must be lying - shame it has come to this!

Have you no shame?

The point is you have to wait until after the season to retrospectively determine who had an easy or tough fixture. You don't do it by arbitrarily grouping teams.

You can now ascertain that a team like Port had a gift of a 2024 fixture and Carlton a soft one.

But who will have the easy 2025 fixture, nobody knows yet...people assume North will be poor and Sydney tough, but it might not prove to be the case.

I'm just wrapt that we get to play Carlton twice again.

Thanks AFL for the guaranteed 8 points (unless we already have top 2 secured by the time we play them the second time around, in which case we might give them a soft win, particularly if it means they make the finals at the expense of a more worthy and therefore tougher opponent).
