See, when normal people think of the term 'consistency' in relation to sporting teams or players, they think of who is 'consistently good'.

Most junior footy teams award a 'Most Consistent' trophy, and when awarding that, you'd go for the reliable defender who might only get 10 possessions a week but can be counted on to stop his opponent; or the midfielder who can get his hands on it 25 times a game and is a good user and decision maker; or the forward who was able to hit the scoreboard most weeks, whilst also setting up goals for his teammates.

But Carlton supporters would give it to the kid who didn't get a kick all year, because he was the 'most consistent'.
If you want to redefine what "consistent" means that's your right.

Can you explain in what universe Carlton had a chance of taking Daicos in the draft? Does it involve Daicos rejecting F/S and then Carlton getting him with their first pick of the draft at 27?
Misinterpretation. I never said Carlton were a chance at taking Daicos. The incompetent team I was referring to was North Melbourne who had pick 1 that year. It is plausible Carlton’s ineptitude had scared Daicos so much he took the F/S route to their arch rivals as opposed to dropping to a similarly underperforming club.

Not talking about an individual, we are talking about a team

But either way, in terms of performances and output in 2024, Tigers were consistent

Pies were reasonably consistent too, as they spent most of the year outside the 8

'Carlton have been the most consistent team throughout the 21st Century'

(In the world according to Carlton supporters)

The misspelt lookalike was calling people trolls for referencing the past, are you a troll fadge? Only took a couple of hours

Back to the future

I guess the participant Pies have been consistent over the past 60 odd years, with choking

So you reckon all the coaches who aren't awarding the Most Consistent trophy to the kid who didn't get a kick all year have got it wrong?
We aren't talking about an award. I said Richmond were the most consistent team in 2024 (i.e, they had the least amount of variation in their performance across the season).

But we are talking about sports and sporting teams, and when we talk about consistency in sporting teams, the inference is always 'consistently good'.

Unless you're a Carlton supporter it seems.

Name all the players on Carlton's list at the end of the 2024 season (pre trade and draft) who will be viewed as better players at the end of their careers than Mason Cox will be at the end of his career?
you're asking me to answer a question after refusing to answer the one I asked...

How about we take it in turns Fudgey?

Here are the players on Carlton's list at the end of 2024 who if their careers ended tomorrow would go down as better players than Cox:
Cripps
Weitering
Curnow
McKay
Docherty

Borderline:
Newman
Saad

Additional players projected to have a better career than Cox:
Walsh
De Koning
Cerra
This has topped it as the all time worst post you've ever made 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
