Nope.
I've been very clear on my definition of premiership contention, and even previously listed every team that has contended for every premiership since the turn of the century.
I know some Carlton supporters are so desperate to be considered a premiership contender, that their definition is 'every team is a contender every year, until they're not'.
But nope, that's not the way it works.
A team has to actually contend for the premiership to be considered a premiership contender. It really is quite a simple concept.

The facts are that both teams are very close. Last year's ladder and results indicate that. Most, if not all, non biased, knowledgeable football pundits would agree with that.
