Missing the point ( again)
Keep up
What 'point' are you making, when saying 'Carlton have injected pace into their team', if you're not saying 'Carlton have injected pace into their team'?

Oops, I forgot about Nick Haynes.... what are his times for the 20 metre sprint and 2km time trial?

You do realise that I didn't say ' Carlton have injected pace into their team '.
You're good at cutting and pasting - do the same with my statement, then address what I wrote, again.

Oh.

So when you say 'It seems trying to inject pace into our team will be the catalyst for our downfall', you didn't actually say or suggest 'Carlton have injected pace into their team'?

Oh boy.

There you go, you missed the crucial word implying that they will address the lack of pace .
Meanwhile, Collingwood are attempting to get slower by holding onto a dozen oldies , adding to that demographic, and ordering a few extra defibs and day beds for game day. Wonderful planning by them

Your Fremantle mate tried to tell us who we should have delisted, and failed dismally.

Your turn now - who should have Collingwood delisted, that wouldn't have made our list worse?

I'm not Fadge - I don't need to go down the path of selecting which players should be retained by clubs.
You know, you sit there and giggle about how bad our list is, how Carlton players are ranked so poorly against Collingwood players, and how Carlton are BOG average, and then when they offload a few of the problems, you counteract with the argument that they shouldn't be getting rid of those players . You really need to make up your mind which is the acceptable path my club is taking.

But it's all relative.

Carlton don't get better by trading out two of their better performed players, even if those players would be ranked much lower if they played in a better team - one that regularly contends for premierships.

You also stated that we wouldn't improve due to only adding Acres in an off season

Maybe leave football analysis to others that know the game

You must seriously believe that Owies and Kennedy are going to improve as players in 2025. I ask again, why didn't the pies pick them up ?

Why do they need to improve as players, if they were comfortably in Carlton's best 22 players in 2024, to provide value to Carlton's list?

And as I said, it's all relative. Where Owies and Kennedy were valuable in Carlton's list - a team that hasn't contended in over two decades - they would be of no value ti Collingwood's list - a team that contends for premierships as often as it doesn't.

You answered the question - Carlton haven't contended for 2 decades, so they have made some decisions concerning the list.

That has taken their list further backwards in the short term, at a time when their best 6 players are in their absolute prime.

And no team relies on their best 6 players more than Carlton.

Getting rid of fringe players has taken Carltons list backwards.
Perhaps retaining fringe players takes them backwards - ever thought of that ?

Pies are down south mate, about time you come to terms with that.

Don't get me wrong.

I'm loving the incompetence of Carlton's list management decisions.

Long live the mediocrity of the Carlton Football Club.
Membrey LOL.
