I understand people look straight to the goal tally but if you watch Carlton enough you will see that we were going no where with Owies as a small forward playing most weeks. Provides no defensive pressure, has no pace, doesn't crumb off the talls (i.e., no positional awareness) and gets a lot of his goals against bottom-tier sides.

He kicked 33 goals in 2024:
Vs Top 14 sides ==> 20 goals in 17 games
(1.18 goals/game)
Vs Bottom 4 sides ==> 13 goals in 6 games
(2.17 goals/game)
Can you now do that for Charlie and Harry, and also for every other forward in the game?

Did you read the whole post? My point was very clearly if all he is going to give us is 30 goals a year with nothing else and the numbers show that a lot of them are against bad teams then he is very easily replaceable.

Yeah, I'm sure you truly want to believe that.

Because you've got Motlop. And Durdin.

As I said.... give me the goal ratios of Charlie and Harry against top 14 and bottom 4 sides over the last couple of seasons?

Should we take Charlie's 19 goals against West Coast in 2023 off him, because they were against the bottom team?

Before the trade period you blokes were only saying they were depth players anyway, you can't have it both ways.
Lol. Nobody was saying two of your regular best 22 were just "depth players" . They clearly weren't. They were best 22 players for your club.
It's only since you guys forced them out of the club that you are suddenly saying they were "fringe" and "depth" players. Funny that.

We didn't want them and Houston as well, good or bad decision we don't know yet, neither do you.

No mate Kennedy and Owies have always been in that ~18-26 (i.e., fringe best 22) part of the list. Kennedy was sub multiple times and Owies benefited from injuries to our other small forwards.

Something tells me that won't sink in.

Owies played 23 of 24 games only because their star small forwards Motlop and Durdin were injured.

LMAO.
Our star small forwards are only kids too, takes 2 or 3 seasons just like your small forwards Hill and Elliott.
