Of course it's luck, just like a number of factors within a season, where on average a top 4 side drops out of the 8, and at least a couple more changes, but like lotto, no one has nailed the ladder positions in any year that I know of
No one would be pencilling in your predictions, but again, this isn't a contenders thread no matter how much you waffle on about it

But this thread also includes Collingwood, who contend as often as they don't.
But the comment I responded to was a comment questioning Carlton's ability to be a genuine flag contenders, hence I supported the original poster's informed conclusion.
BTW, you're also wrong (as usual) about this year's result being Carlton.

14 GF seasons in my lifetime time, so no, Pies aren't in the top 8 for contenders in my lifetime. But again, this isn't a contenders thread, perhaps start one though
