Aren't the two prelim finals for the top 4 teams? You really tie yourself up with bullshit sometimes.
Not necessarily.

I would consider GWS in the top 4 teams in 2024, despite being eliminated in straight sets.

They were desperately unlucky not to beat either Sydney or Brisbane in each of their finals. They win their first final against Sydney, who knows what would have happened?

They were definitely 'BETTER' than Port Adelaide in 2024, despite Port finishing higher and making a Prelim whilst GWS didn't.

Let's see if the Carlton brainstrust can wrap their heads around that concept...

As an error it's not as bad as seeing Collingwood on a lower rung than Carlton, but still thinking Collingwood were better.
It's reasonable to ask whether Collingwood played easier, harder or the same difficulty opposition to reach their ladder positions, isn't it?

Certainly head to head we were demonstrably better.

When the questions "who will finish higher?" then the answer in 2024 was Carlton, but we're asking now "who will be better" and plainly Collingwood has been better than Carlton for the greater part iof several decades. Arguably we played better footy for longer than Catlton in 2024, and we've recruited far better too.

You've got to acknowledge the intellectual capacity of the people you are dealing with here...

Oh boy.

Well it's evidently clear the Carlton posters aren't Rocket Scientists....

Statement #1: 'Carlton and Collingwood to both finish in the 5th to 8th range';
Statement #2: 'Carlton to finish higher than Collingwood'.

So....

What if:
1. Collingwood finish 5th?
Or
2. Carlton finish 8th?

Oh boy, you really do struggle

My "prediction" was:

Both sides in the 5th-8th and Carlton finishing higher. You then stated it is an error. A prediction can't be wrong before the event if there are viable options

Chief think that was an acceptance to the challenge, unfortunately for fadge it was another fail

There was no acceptance as I've learnt by experience to wager against the welching Carlton folk on BigFooty, and your complete disregard to the facts in this post further proves my position.

Don't forget the golden rule of 'contending'.

For a team to truly contend they must finish the H&A season in the top 4.

Thus Brisbane weren't contenders this year.

You're tying yourself in knots again mate, what you think should've happened and what actually happened are two different things with only one of them reality.

Bur you replied, despite not proving your statement that I had made an error, so in essence it was accepted

But as usual

Huh?

I know what 'happened', hence my conclusion that GWS were a contender in 2024, with Brisbane, Sydney and Geelong.

Port were not a contender in 2024, despite their second placed finish on the ladder at the end of the home and away season, and their Preliminary Final appearance.

Hang on old boy.
Arrow made his prediction that both will finish in the 5-8th range, with Carlton finishing higher.
That certainly ain't no rocket science there fella. He is saying that Collingwood won't finish above Carlton in that prediction. It's actually pretty basic comprehension that you don't seem to understand, and saying that his prediction is wrong is just sheer stupidity from your side

What Arr0w meant was "Blues 5th to 7th, Pies 6th to 8th, Blues ahead"

Poor Blues' fans struggle a bit with technicalities

You missed it as well, as there are a multitude of scenarios where we both finish 5th-8th but Carlton higher

So, my prediction can't be an error

Best both of you stop changing feet

'Collingwood 1st to 10'
'Carlton 9th to 17th'
'Blues ahead'

And I can't be wrong because there is a viable option in my prediction!

Your prediction is fundamentally in error and unsound

Why don't you just post a full predicted ladder like a real man
