Trying to be objective here...
1. Saints - a holding year (P8-P10) - confident they are on the right track for the future - very dependent upon big Marshall in the ruck. If he goes down, probably bottom 6.
2. Dees - too much reliance on too few (P10-P12) - if 2 of Max, Trac, May or Lever go down for any length of time they are bottom 6 material. Coach gone by end of season regardless
3. Bombers - (P14-P16) - I have my doubts about the coach. They still seem lost in trying to find their way out of saga-induced doldrums.
We won 11 games last year, why would we be incapable of finals?Melbourne. I reckon they're the only club of that trio capable of playing finals in 2025.

Why would we go backwards?Because I think you will go backwards and it's quite difficult to play finals winning less than 11 games.
Why would we go backwards?
Because its St Kilda. Why would we go backwards?
We were horrendous last year and still managed to finish above Melbourne. I don't really get why we'd go backwards but obviously it's all conjecture at this stage.Because its St Kilda.
It's really up to Melbourne. These threads are pathetic but I’m tired of not seeing my team in it.

Rivers ahead of Lever, Oliver and Salem for me. For 2024 performance and 2025-beyond projection. It's really up to Melbourne.
If the Dees AA or AA40 players, i.e. Gawn, Petracca, Oliver, May, Lever, Fritsch, Viney and Salem (8 players) all have good preseasons and remain injury free then they'll be back in the top 4.
Add Pickett, Langdon, Windsor, McVee, van Rooyen, Rivers and Petty (in defence), and they're simply better. And they're not just better than St Kilda and Essendon, they're better than most teams in the league.
There will be lots of egg on Bigfooty groupthink nuffies within a few months.
I didn't rank them.Rivers ahead of Lever, Oliver and Salem for me. For 2024 performance and 2025-beyond projection.
Where did I say you ranked them?I didn't rank them.
Btw, Oliver will be back to or near his best and Rivers is nowhere near that.
No, you undersell Oliver.Where did I say you ranked them?
Oliver won't be back to his best. His best was 100+ coaches votes in a season. He won't get near that.
You undersell Rivers. I think going forward he becomes a top 6 player for Melbourne.
Salem belongs nowhere near discussions of the AA squad. Seriously mediocre footballer over the last 3 seasons. It's really up to Melbourne.
