Anyone give the Giants a chance against the Demons this weekend?

Yes, but the last quarter fade outs when they are in close games (including last time they met) is the concerning thing.

Definitely, this is their last chance for a win this year and I think they will set themselves up for it. How much chance do people give West Coast being the Suns' 10th victim?

I think the Suns are a huge chance for am upset. When the Eagles put the cue in the rack the cover goes on the pool table and the barman turns the lights on and off.

Could be the first time both teams win on the same weekend.

Hope the dees get up - i would like to see a team go winless - purely because it has never happend in my lifetime and it would be one step closer.
It would be fascinating to see - and could easily happen to Melbourne or St. Kilda in 2014

The question is whether a winless season would be taken without panic or whether it would result in upheavals like we have not seen that could potentially ruin a club?? Sturt in the SANFL in 1995 went winless - indeed they did not get within 24 points of any opponent - yet coach Phil Carman showed himself very capable indeed in later years, raising the team to a 16-4 record in 1998 and 12-8 in 1997, 1999 and 2000. (In fact, I wonder if Carman was approached by an AFL club circa 2000 since when St. Kilda were trying to replace Tim Watson The Age I recall said they had considered “AFL coaches, VFL coaches, coaches from interstate and former AFL coaches”).

Still, if GWS do not win in their last four games (they could avoid the wooden spoon if they do) they will still be:
  1. The first 1-21 team since Fitzroy in 1996 and only the fourth since 1970 (after North Melbourne in 1972 and Melbourne in 1981)
  2. Only the fifth team with only one win in 45 years since the 20-game season began permanently in 1968 (Sydney in 1993 were 1-19)

People are fairly underrating St Kilda at this point in time. We have been competitive in all but 1 game this year, and putting another year in the kids will do wonders. We have had a lot of key injuries this year as well.

Not saying we will win a flag, but its an enormous reach to say St Kilda could "easily" go win less in an entire season.

colour me biased, but i'm starting to think the Crows might be the last team to be beaten by both. We seem to match up very well on both the Suns and GWS for some reason.

And in 1996 they lost a Grand Final.

Things can turn quickly in footy.
Indeed they can, this was also mentioned:
The first 1-21 team since Fitzroy in 1996 and only the fourth since 1970 (after North Melbourne in 1972 and Melbourne in 1981)

North went on to finish sixth and miss finals by half a game and % in 1973. They then played in five consecutive grandfinals 1974-1978, winning the 1975 and 1977 flags.
