AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Could see us doing this. Though I could also see us trading pick 21 for a future 1st for a team wanting to come into the first round this year. Might also involve swapping our future 2nd for a late 2nd or early 3rd this year that sees us go into next year's draft with two first round picks.3: Izak Rankine
16: Riley Collier-Dawkins
21: Bailey Williams
Yes.rezagun still taking it to the bank we are getting Rankine?
Rubbish! We would be trading up for the future, not for the here and now.trading up for Luko who is no where near ready is useless. rankine is ready to go, will help us win a premiership next season imo.
But in our position shouldn't we be going for the here and now?Rubbish! We would be trading up for the future, not for the here and now.
Stiffy seems like a typical afc supporter not interested in winning a premiership now and more interested in the future. But in our position shouldn't we be going for the here and now?
Everyone got a bit excited about Rozee in SANFL finals - Luko was doing that in 2017.trading up for Luko who is no where near ready is useless. rankine is ready to go, will help us win a premiership next season imo.
The role that Rankine will play in 2019, we have enough coverage for. If you expect the kid to come in and dominate from day one, then that is being unrealistic. He might get a 10-12 AFL games for a finals side this year but not much more. But in our position shouldn't we be going for the here and now?
You just hate it when you get challenged and called out don't you? If you think Rankine is the difference between us winning a flag and not winning a flag in 2019 then you need more help than people seem to think.Stiffy seems like a typical afc supporter not interested in winning a premiership now and more interested in the future.
Exactly! He won't be the difference just like any other draftees but he will get games.Everyone got a bit excited about Rozee in SANFL finals - Luko was doing that in 2017.
He'll play senior football next year barring injury.
On the money again, there is a big difference between getting games in your 1st year which is always a good sign but totally different from expecting a kid to come in and dominate from the get go, it's totally unrealistic. You'd be absolutely rapt if any one of our new draftees came in and just made a meaningful contribution to the team in year one.The role that Rankine will play in 2019, we have enough coverage for. Here and now i'm calling next 2 years. The role that Rankine will play in 2019, we have enough coverage for. If you expect the kid to come in and dominate from day one, then that is being unrealistic. He might get a 10-12 AFL games for a finals side this year but not much more.

Ummmmm.... which tall forward does he push out of the current side then? (unless we get the same amount of injuries we did this year)..Everyone got a bit excited about Rozee in SANFL finals - Luko was doing that in 2017.

Lukosius with his foot skills, footy smarts, athleticism and endurance can play almost any position on the ground. It's a mistake to pigeon hole him as only being able to play forward. For that matter why can't he play the 3rd tall Forward role with the absence of McGovern? Rankine certainly had an outstanding Nationals against his own age, absolutely no getting away from that but his SANFL form at the next level was not nearly as outstanding apart from flashes of brilliance.Ummmmm.... which tall forward does he push out of the current side then? Jenkins?
Tex?
Lynch?
Gonna be a very highly paid tall forward playing in the SANFL next year if you are correct!!... and we’re not gonna see much of Fog or himmelburg if luko gets the first gig if tex, lynch or jj go down..
Everyone here knows how adelaide works.. luko, if we got him and barring a heap of injuries to our tall forwards, would spend the bulk of the next two years developing in the SANFL.
Given out current need for speed and x-factor... We’d be ****in stupid to take luko over Rankine... we need to replace charlie cameron and rankine does that ten fold.
Just for hey shorty - we go all in for picks #2 & #3 with Gold Coast to take Luko & Rank, then a Hamish special at pick 70 oddKane, you just cant drop in here and not give your predictions and the draft is only two days away.
I do agree that Rankine is the player for the flag next year, I dont agree that Lukosius is useless. Thats just been reactionarytrading up for Luko who is no where near ready is useless. rankine is ready to go, will help us win a premiership next season imo.
I dont think faith was saying Luko himself is useless...I do agree that Rankine is the player for the flag next year, I dont agree that Lukosius is useless. Thats just been reactionary

Like most of us here myself included. Its people like #Bicks who know the ins and outs of the players who might fair worst.Dangerfield pick 10
Talia pick 12
Davis pick 15
Basically I have no idea who we will pick.
