Whod trade Luke Power for pick 4?

If Luke Power was keen to leave Brisbane, who would swap our pick 4 for him? I know i would considering our last 3 picks of about that number have netted luke livingston, murray vance and kris massie. I understand we are rebuilding but we could rebuild around luke and nick steven and waite i reckon.

Despite the fact that Luke Power is a champion player we cannot afford to give away pick 4 for him as we desperatly need the two of the best youngesters avaliable as we have already been fined severely in 2002 n 2003.
The only way I can see us getting Luke Power is a possible trade with Whitnall or by us snarring Sam Power from the Bulldogs and luring him to CArlton through the PSD.

Luke Power gets carried a bit by his top class teammates and when they're gone through injury or the occasional poor form Luke tends to go missing too, or at the very least make a negligible impact on the game.

So I would say no, but only just.

We have the key to Luke Power coming to Carlton for "Free", with out Sam Power you would not get Luke.

Some say Luke is worth pick 4 to 6, Sam Power worth pick 20 to 40 but you want the Dogs to give up Sam Power and Pick 11.

There for Carlton would get the worth of Pick 4 to 6, pick 11 and Pick 20-40 for Whitnall.


The dogs would play hard ball in a Sam Power deal because they no Luke wont go unless he can play with sam, they are best mates and would be the only reason Luke would come home.

The way the dogs would see it is that Sam Power and Luke Power is Worth Lance Whitnall or in terms of picks Pick 4 to 6 and pick 20 to 40.

No im a legitimate carlton supporter but id be more than willing to trade whitnall away and our pick 4 to get luke power and sam and hopefully pick 11. Luke power wouldnt dog brisbane and go into the pres season draft hell end up at collingwood if we dont trade for him. We got a gift with nick stevens cant see it happening twice. How can we expect so much for whitnall whos had one half decent season in 4 years in the worst team ever yet trading luke power whos starred in 3 premierships teams for brisbane for pick 4 is no way. As i said our recent high picks have been murray vance, kris massie and luke livingston with andrew walker at no 2 our best and he hasnt even made it as of yet. Lets get luke power and end some heartache

Recruiting is much more of a science nowadays and the chances of CArlton selecting another dud with pick 4 is unlikely. Pick 4 for Power is not worth it...if we get lucky and pick him up in the PSD itll be a bonus otherwise we need to develop new midfielders and youngsters.

As for Whitnall I agree with you that he should be traded to the Bulldogs or whoever can offer us the best deal for him.

If Luke Power wants to play with his brother, he can play for the Bulldogs or Brisbane can trade for Sam. I've had it with Carlton trading for duds. And no way do I want to see Carlton screw Brisbane, or Bulldogs screw Carlton!
