Collingwood, lots of gaps especially in talls, game plan being exposed and far too reliant in the mids on older players.

Richmond are on a similar trajectory, right now they're at where West Coast were in 2022.
Is it a bad thing? They had their dynasty, a few years down the bottom of the ladder is only fair.

Unlikely.
Have a look at their under 24’s too. Not many there that will lift them. Their list is teetering on the edge of a major rebuild.
They need to hit the draft hard, because if they wait another year they’ll get caught up in all the Tassie picks being sucked out of the draft.
Their future trading has absolutely cooked them.
A good lesson for all. Not many teams will recover from shipping off Pick 2 and Pick 6*, they will be no exception.
They just got lucky they were still able to secure Daicos in the first place.
They definitely beat the Daicos bid as North was only ever picking JHF and get Finn Callaghan and then would have enabled Daicos as a matched bid double up in 2021.
This year, you can hypothesize around potentially Harvey Langford.
Their prospects moving forward look completely different with Daicos, Callaghan and Langford as a young midfield group.
It might take them another 2-3 years to amass something comparable to that and they are still at ground zero.
Going to be a very very interesting few years for the Pies.
I feel like they are going to try and Free Agency their way out of it, but might dig themselves an even bigger hole, particularly as you say with Tassie they might amass Pick 8 or 9 instead of pick 2 like they should for a few years.
In reality, they should be shopping De Goey, Moore and Maynard in the next 18 months.

Problem is they’ve got more players to replace than ever before, and they’re not holding a top 10 pick to add to Daicos.

How are they going to?
Trade DeGoey or Quaynor?
They don’t have the depth in their list to lift when they have injuries and the large majority of their list are too old to garner a good pick in return.

Massive buyer beware on trading for De Goey for mine. 29 in March. History of off-field/professionalism issues. Got his premiership now, so you've got to question hunger levels at this stage of his career.

They simply have to make some hard calls this year.
Wait 12 months and they’ll be trying to reshape their list when the drafts are compromised.
Of all their 30+ players they need to ship off at least 3-4 of them, and when they do that they’re going to be pretty ordinary if they get any injuries, because they have one of the worst groups of under 24’s in the comp.
Probably couldn’t pick a worse time to be on the drop.
