Richmond can't make it. They need to win all three games plus have five results go their way. Granted, those five results are expected but it's still too much needed to go right in a very unpredictable year.

If they upset Fremantle this week then its game on for them. Apart from three heartbreaking weeks when they threw games away by a goal, they are equal on form and percentage as North and could easily be a game clear of North in seventh spot. They have proven to be competitive against their peers (teams around the same level as them) so its not a big stretch to imagine them winning their next three games.

That's how I see the ladder panning out.

If we can get over Geelong then we are an even money chance of rolling the Crows.
Unfortunately, if you do beat the Cats, you play the Pies/Hawks not the Crows.

Although, if you do play the Cats in the first week of the finals it would be greatly appreciated if you do beat the Cats ;)

Being a game behind Carlton, the Tiges are up against it, no doubt. Carlton have two games against "peers" as do Richmond.
True, however, and it may just be my bias, I feel the Blues are better placed to take 8th. We're finally starting to get something that resembles our best 22 on the field, so I feel like we'll finish the season strong.

My concern for the Blues team is the match fitness of the returning players. Can they come back and perform right away? Time will tell. If they do make it to the 8 with 2-3 games under these players belts they could cause some boil-overs though. Win against Essendon is vital though.
