Rioli will be an out. The club is always overly cautious with his hammy's. Bruce needs to go but we seem to say this every week and it's yet to happen. Ellis needs a rest as he wouldn't be in the best 11 at BHH atm. Get rid of one of either Hale or Renouf.

My In's/Out's:
(note that these ins i don't want in 1 week. More so over 2-3 weeks as 3+ changers per week does more bad than good)
I - Pupolo (a must), Milne, Bruest, Bailey
O - Bruce, Rioli, Ellis, Renouf/Hale

but we all know it will be same old, same old and the only changes will be:

I - Ossie
O - Jr

Sammy could be an outlier of an OUT if he gets sighted for his hit. But until he does, i'm not going to include him in the outs.

I'd be happy to see Laddo go too. For those saying "what has he done to get dropped?" i reply with "What has he done to keep his spot.?" Can't win premierships with these 'Nothing' guys in the team.

...oh and nobody mention WX. He fits into the Laddo 'nothing' category. :(

People suggesting Shoe when he only played 40mins at BH - he still not fit enough.

I would suggest we need to like someone like Chapman today who had 10 tackles, playing in the forward line applying both tackle and score pressure. Bruest would be my first choice.

Also Puopolo could come in as he can play forward/defender - on smalls and talls, and has a lot of pace.

People are saying Schneider doesn't have a tank, but he had the most disposals for BH last week with 28. Had a combined 10 rebound/inside 50's on top of goal assists and 2 goals, so it suggests he works hard. I think people mistake his lack of pace and agility for stamina. He obviously must be fit but I noticed he makes a lot intelligent runs and as long as he is getting the ball that's all that counts.

Milne, Smith and Sierakowski could come in but I think they need to show consistent form before they step up to AFL level.

Clarko alluded that Murphy could come in but he seems to be struggling with fitness.

I don't think we will make more than two changes. Probably be Bruce and Ellis. I doubt Ladson will be dropped as willingness to make a contest and tackle has been very good. He would only be dropped if they think we need more speed but if Rioli is out then it's too many changes. Osborne could come back too.

Cheney also has been very good, and is probably a better defender than Puopolo. Also can provide run from defence.

I think there is a lot of talent at BH, hopefully unlike previous years it won't go to other clubs.

In's this week forward pressure, goal sneak and a quick hard defensive forward constantly in the forward 50 at the feet of Franklin and Roughead.

In: Pup, Breust, Whitecross, Osbourne.

Out. Cyril, Bruce, Ellis, Hodge

Out Mitchell Rioli Ellis

In Osbourne, Puopolo, Milne,

Mitchell definitely gone. 3 weeks reduced to 2. Got enough inside mids already. Dont need to replace a like for like. Ossie replaces the experience lost.

PS. Coach needs to tell Ossie that he is warming Breust's spot unless he performs

Rioli to miss 3-4. Pup gets his chance to show his stuff for 3 weeks. Hopefully more. 1st game in front of family in Adelaide. Has to play.

Ellis. Type of player that is just surplus to the teams needs. Need a tall. Milne comes in as he is more of a utility than Lisle.

Bruce stays because 3 changes is enough in 1 week.

Out: Ellis (liability at the moment), Bruce (liability at the moment), Rioli (hamstring)
In: Osborne (if he's ready), Puopolo, Lisle (as forward, Rough as a back option)

I pick Ellis and Bruce as outs because in my 15 years of going to the football, I don't think I've ever seen players don the Brown and Gold and be afraid to put their bodies on the line. Today was extremely disappointing, but not only because of the score line. It was disappointing because I had to sit an watch a few players ruin the game whilst a few others worked their bodies into the ground to fight for the game.

I hate to say it, but I was embarrassed.

Please Clarko, play the recruits if they're ready. Elevate Breust, play Lisle, do what you need to do to work some hunger into the bottom end of your supposed 'top 22'.

Since we're playing Pawt, who, apart from their surprise win over a Bumblebee side that seemed stuck in neutral after quarter time, have majorly struggled, Clarkson might 'experiment' again.

Out's:

Guessing Cyril will miss a game or two. Hale. Ellis. Bruce. One of the latter two may get a reprieve if Sammy gets rubbed out.

In's:

WhiteX. Puopolo. Ozzie. And I wouldn't mind seeing Schoey come in to try Hale's job as a forward / ruck. He's no ruckman, but if he can just neutralize Brogan then he'll have done that part, and he may be more of forward presence. Don't think he can be any worse than Hale.

Out: Ellis (Omit), Bruce (omit), Rioli (inj)

In: Breust, Puopolo, Lisle

For me, Ellis and Bruce need a few weeks in the 2's. At the moment they are liabilities, and I believe the in-form Puopolo and Breust certainly couldn't be any worse.
Also, Breust is an absolute must. We are really lacking a crumbing forward. The amount of times the ball was brought to ground level in our forward 50, only to be picked up by Milburn, Scarlett, Taylor or Enright and run out of defense was worrying. If cyril isn't going to be playing that role, someone else has to.

On that note, Rioli is an obvious out, and bringing in Lisle will help fix our obvious lack of height. As far as I can remember, the last two match reports from Box Hill have only said good things about him.

Ellis and Bruce were very average today, plus Mitchell possible getting a week and being cautious of Rioli's hammys we could have a few outs.

Puopolo, Listle and maybe Shoenmakers to be in, with Shoenmakers and Puopolo from Adelaide that will be a plus I guess. We usually do struggle here in Adelaide, hopefully our side is as full strength as possible with Mitchell and Rioli playing.

OUTS:

Bruce (because, well, REALLY)
Hale/Renouf (we only need one of them)
X (he needs to eat some donouts)
Cyril ( SOB SOB SOB :( )

INS:

Ossie (if fit,)
Baily ( please please please please)
Puopolo (from all reports he seems to be playing well)
Lisle/shcoey( to take over stratts role and let hodgey play where he belongs)

Now after one loss (well two but whatever) I'm not going to start running around screaming that it's the end of the season, becuase clearly it is not.
At the momment we are the third best team in the comp (my humble opinion anyway) we played well today, aside from a few mistake, OKAY a lot of mistakes, still the game was a ripper, and yes we probably should have won it.
In saying all that, I do believe a few changes need to be made, and I dont think that the players I have mentioned have shown enough all year to warrent a spot.
But I am not the coach so what do i know?

Out; rioli, bruce, ellis
In; Pup, Milne/whitex, shoe

Pup - we need a bit of mongrel in what looks like a soft team. Has form and pace.

Milne/whitex - can play forward, back and midfield. Tall utility who can float back or play on a wing (has to be better than bruce...)

Shoe - Give him a run of games at CHB and let him develop a bit.

I realise doing this we lose a lot of experience, but I don't think we're anywhere near contenders this year. we may as well get games into our (hopefully) future CHB.

we also need a crumber. I'd prefer Bruest to ossie in that respect.

In: Bruest, Lisle, Puopolo, Cheney and possibly Smith/Sirra
Out: Ellis, Bruce, Ladson, Rioli (inj)

The Box Hill players have earned their spots, the others haven't.. Simple as that! Cant keep rolling the dice on players who simply dont live up to expectations and its worth giving the young ones a shot to see if they can...

Re: This shit has to stop.

Have you been to a BHH game?

or even read the BHH Sub Forum - surely this would give you some insight;)

taskmaster is right. there's a lot of people on here who continually make excuses. there are senior players that are not performing. try out some of the kids and see if they are ready. they will be hungry to keep their spots.
if you draft mature age recruits like smith and puopolo for deficiency areas of our game and not play them, then sir you are an ignorant ********.

What I would like to see happen:

Ins: Puopolo, Breust, Whitecross, Osborne
Outs: Bruce (omit), Rioli (inj), Mitchell (susp), Ellis (omit)

On thin ice: Young

But what will happen is that Bruce and Ellis keep their spots and Osborne and Whitecross replace Rioli and Mitchell (if Mitchell is suspended).

Re: This shit has to stop.

Smith and Lisle ARE NOT READY!!!!

FFS - don't you follow the reports from Box Hill. They will take time. Middle of the season. Why risk burning them out by throwing into the fire when we dont' need it.

Puopolo, however, will no doubt be in the mix for Port.
How long have they been on the list?If they are not ready to take their shot when the opportunitie arises like it has now ,they will never be.They are on the list ,they should be ready to play, thats what reserves are for.Did Essendon wait with Hurley or Heppell ? or Freo with Barlow?.Get them in the team, there is an opening and we need to see what these guys can do.They can't do any worse than what our backline is doing ATM .If you follow the reports from Box Hill ,you might want to also look at our defensive stats from yesterday ,you'll see what i mean.

I seriously think that we will never see Bailey again. So we can give up on that idea.

If Clarko is in "experimental" mode, as he put on the couch last night, then play, Puopolo, Cheney, Lisle, Smith, Litherland, Milne, Bruest, Shoenmakers, whitecross.

I mean we are obviously experimenting, so what do we have to lose, we dont win with the senior experienced blokes, so lets just throw caution to the wind and experiment.

Thanks-you 71" GF, someone here that actually gets it!! We just baby blokes and make excuses for them. I thought that if you are good enough to make an afl list, then you should be good enough to play...???

And the point is to all those airy fairy supporters out there, we are not winning with seasoned blokes, so why not play these kids, its called experience..

That's certainly a very simplistic way of looking at what reserves are for, but you're severely misunderstanding the step up in levels, not to mention the amount of work that goes into a specific player in regards to 'workloads' and development through levels of fitness.

To suggest all players in the reserves should be on the same page and able to step up at any given time is fanciful.

Outs: Cyril(injured), Guerra, Ladson, Ellis, Maybe Bruce.

Ins;Puopolo, Smith, Breust, Cheney, Lisle.

Its about time we see what we drafted and how good or bad they are, if Clarko wants to use the experimental excuse then try these kids as experiment and see what they have.

3 changes max:

Out: Rioli (inj), Ellis (dropped), Mitchell (susp). If Mitch gets off (unlikley) then Bruce (dropped)

Ins: Puopolo, Osbourne (if fit), Lisle or Milne - time to see what these kids are made of

Outs: Cyril(injured), Guerra, Ladson, Ellis, Maybe Bruce.

Ins;Puopolo, Smith, Breust, Cheney, Lisle.

Perfect:thumbsu:

Out: Xavier Ellis

In: A second chance to use the number 3 and 6 (Dowler) draft picks we wasted in 2005 only to see the following selected after them:

Scott Pendlebury (5)
Paddy Ryder (7)
Mitch Clark (9)
Shaun Higgins (11)
