There's a reason for an increase in rightwing 'positions'. But it's nothing to do with being a conservative.

It is the weaponisation of social media tricking mostly straight, white, males into believing they are under attack from 'the left'.

The end result being that it gives people the impression that RFC are more respectful and supportive of 'not Australian' culture, than they are of 'Australian' culture.

Certainly I have no issues with an individual that possesses any / all of those traits.

I do take issue with DEI led programs.
The answer to problems caused by racism and discrimination should never be more racism and discrimination. No matter how well intentioned. Find another solution.

There is a system in place that benefits one group of people (based on a social-construct). And because of that benefit, it's unequal to the other group of people.
Let's simplify it to a 60-40 split.

In order to make the system equal, one group needs to gain and the other needs to lose, right?

To get both groups to 50-50, one will gain 10, one will lose 10.
But instead of looking at the system as now equal and fair 50-50, we are told to focus on the gain vs loss.

So what would your solution be to find equality for these two groups in this system, without one group seeming to 'lose' something?

Ok before we get too deep into this hypothetical, I don't agree with the premise that all intersectional groups must have an equal share of anything and that this is inherently the best outcome of any system.

But for the sake of this scenario-
Real life isn't a zero sum game.
Gains in one group do not have to come at the expense of another.
The solution in this example is to take measures to increase the size of the pie.

All groups can benefit. This is a net positive for all those involved.

At this point you need to ask yourself-
Is your goal to see the disadvantaged group elevated?
Or is it also to penalise those groups that are doing well and drag them back to the mean?

Thus, despite a net positive, would you avoid this solution because it doesn't handicap the successful group (eg one with a particular skin colour?)

I'd be happy with just a few of the big ideas and values that you see as representative of the people you place in that group.
