Banter Why do you hate Carlton?

i was having a read in there....it was making me sick how they think they will poleaxe us, and their stupid reasons for it.

I know that we think we will win, and they think they will win...but i'd like to know what the general concensus is from the neutrals?

This morning on SEN radar was up to his old tricks...trying to deflect all the heat off carlton and put it onto us. He reckoned hendo would play on carslile, then tim asked who plays on hurley?, hille? Rader goes you sure you arnt too top heavy? who is going to chase Yarran out? Tim peeled off the names of davey and jetta. They have been jousting all week, its awesome.

So many of these guys like Walls and Maher who just can't hide their bias, for goddsake at least try and be professional.

Thank god we don't have to listen to them next year.

Maher, the clown, was interviewing Bazza after his last Match. He asked Baz what his last four years at the dogs had been like, before HAll corrected him in his response. How could a commentator be so off? maybe he just pisses me off more because he's Carlton.

Watching Before the Game last weekend, they had Melksham on the panel.

All of Maher, Hughes and Sam Lane were in to him (less so Lane) from the start. They started off by joking about being sore for the game etc. but it was relentless. The entire "interview" was just them trying to rile him up about Carlton.

Though for probably the first time, I liked Lemo.

Maher asked Melksham about his fine for wrestling, and said "you're kidding me aren't ya; you probably just got some rich supporter of the club to pay the fine for you". Melksham half smiled, said "nah, no paper brown bags."

Lemo chimes in: "They're Essendon, not Carlton, mate."

Yep. Is it that hard to remember back 18 months to when Baz started? Not like he was under the radar, he was their best player in the NAB win and kicked 3 on proper debut... hardly under the radar

Slightly better than his retirement interview with Brett Kirk though.

But do not mistake that for a secret admiration. I despise and loathe that club.

I didn't think I wrote anything out of line.

We're both sitting on 16 premierships and may well have a stronger rivalry (call it hate, if you want) than we have even against our other prime enemy in Collingwood.
For all the "hate" we may have for each other, it would be a lesser experience if it were not for it.
