Houli, Cotchin, Riewoldt, Astbury, Edwards are all past their prime and aren’t the players they used to be. The drop off isn’t all that surprising given the Tigers have never been a dominant regular season team.

Can’t recall a team falling off the cliff as quickly as we have these past 2 weeks. From 4 goals up against eagles in Perth with 10 mins to go and top 4 looking good to 2 games later and season shot to pieces. Finals not a priority now, must just get games into some kids and get some quality youth in at years end.

I don’t think they’ve adjusted well in the coach’s box. I think Dimma has been more reliant than most coaches on his assistants for tactical stuff. Reckon the cuts to soft cap and staffing generally have hurt him. They’ve tried to change the way they play with the shirt kicking game but they haven’t really figured it out. Also haven’t figured out how to team defend through the corridor under the new rule set.

another pet theory i have is that as a result of sustained success we've had to up salaries to all the gun assistant coaches. Our run began when we assembled an amazing on field and coaching team. The core of that coaching team has been all but gutted after the cap limit changes + being poached by other clubs. Caracella Truck and Leppa were massive parts of our success and have now left. Balme probably getting on too.
