The same draw? No one ever has the same draw regardless of what way you spin it. Two equal teams can be separated purely because one got a soft draw and one got a hard draw. There is inequality in the system and you know that. The draw is a huge factor in ladder position, it doesn't make a bottom 4 team finish 3rd but it has a huge effect on equal teams.
We will just agree to disagree then.

IMO, the best 8 teams made the finals in 2015, irrespective of the draw. ie. I doubt a different draw would have changed the finalists.

How can the draw not effect results? So if two teams are 8th best and 9th best respectively and 9th best plays Carlton twice and 8th best plays Hawthorn twice, and 9th makes the finals because of that, all of a sudden 9th are better than 8th? Its not just a matter of making finals, its a matter of positioning within finals, wins, percentage everything. The draw has an effect and its crazy to suggest otherwise.

Don't tell Cats fans that! They will get touchy.
Might not win us much by himself but ripped the heart out of your lot. Oh thats right, he's not any good anymore. I remember how it goes.
You'll still be around however.
See you in Rd8.

Your best 22 is top-8 material if you can keep them all on the park for the majority of the year.

The Cats are more susceptible to injuries than most other teams, as you lack the depth as in previous years (particularly as you will be filing 7 vacancies with picks 67+ or DFA's).

This seems to be a huge factor in your opinion formulation - show me a side who is relying on 1st year players to replace injured players, and I will show you a team that is not competing for a flag.

It's not your 1st 22 that is the problem, it's your lack of depth.

You will have 7 new players from the national draft (less any RFA's).

Then there are the other inexperienced players on your list who haven't played any games or say less than 10 games.

Most teams use more than 2/3rds of their players during the season - but the Cats won't bat as deep as most team in 2016.

I'm happy to wait and see.

wtf is it with D's fans and their saltiness about Clark....
How is it saltiness pointing out that it's a massive stretch to say Clark will be fully fit, when's the last time he was fully fit?

Your entire forward line is a fair chance to end up in the medical room.

Right, and D's fans have been so balanced when discussing Clark

Right, so a couple of injured players now makes a entire forward line now does it

Well aren't you the touchy one?

A couple? Tell me how important are these guys to your forward line?

Mitch Clark - Lisfranc, calf and depression.
Nathan Vardy - Hip and ACL
Daniel Menzel - ACL x4

I could include Tom Hawkins and his back issues as well.

It's not a stretch to say that the odds of these guys being fully fit for a season are questionable when history suggests they struggle to stay on the field.

Puzzling as to why you feel the need to get so defensive when there is no reason to be.

We don't need Clark - Stanley is better imo, and younger, and also has his own concerns....

Stanley is one I forgot and yes also has questions over his foot.

So 3 players.....

4 if you include Stanley, which is significant from a forward line whether they'd be key targets or just resting targets.

I am curious as to why you're so touchy over this though?

Just calling out a very tenuous argument. You do realise that Vardy, Clark and Stanley if all fit would be fighting for the CHF spot, so really only 1 spot out of 6 through injury. Menzel, sure. So that potentially makes 2 out of 6.

Hawkins, lol. Hasn't been having any problems with injury for at least 24 months now. So it appears as though this "entire" forward line is nothing more than whooey.

I've genuinely met NSFB and he is an extremely overemotional and touchy guy.

Also a passionate Taylor Swift lover.

So Geelong aren't going to have a backup ruck then if you think only one of Clark, Vardy and Stanley will play then?

Pretty sure back up ruck can and has been filled by um.... Blicavs for the last 3 years. So don't see why it won't be any different next year.

They've got a pretty good draw, so I'd expect Geelong to make the 8 simply on the back of that. Do that and you're in with a chance. Top 4 might be a stretch, but certainly not impossible.
