All things being equal (which they rarely are) that's the right approach imo.bevo thinks he's bart cummings, gets them to peak at the right time
and you know what, this might sound outlandish, but & yes it's like a big but (& i can not lie ), if we beat geelong this week, what's to stop us going all the way

Have the team drilled, settled and set them to peak at 3pm on the last Saturday in September every year.
If you're accurately assessing that you're in the window in terms of list balance, talent, age profile etc you either accept the risk of not making it or you don't. Personally, I'd like us to always take it on in the window scenario.
I think it's plausible to think that if we beat Geelong or go down in a close one we'll continue to build and could very well be peaking at September's end....if we make it. It's got that feel to it. It hasn't 100% clicked at any stage or in any game this year but there's an inevitability about it.
