Will West Coast win the Flag ?

You mention going a whole season without a loss. No modern side has ever done that yet.

You'd think being able to cover their injuries well could be a testament to West Coast's chance at performing all the way. Depth could be THE secret and WCE have demonstrated this like no other, with a lossless start to the year to prove it.

How is this not scaring anyone?

They are looking good but in reality:

Home wins vs Melb, Haw, Kang
Away vs WBull, GWS, Rich

Very easy start to the year.

Arghhh, it's only May. Btw Coll, Hawks and Geelong would beat us on the MCG come grand final day in our current form. We're really not playing THAT GOOD footy - we're very overrated tbh. I honestly thought we played better footy early last year. We still have a long way to go.

West Coast's injuries are going to be hard to overcome. May drift out of top 4 and not legitimately challenge.

Honestly, Essendon has a better chance at the flag.

There's something about those Bombers... it's the Hird thing + Bomber Thompson's premiership experience, a resolve. It would be shocking if they didn't finish top4 and win at least one final, imo.

Probably not.

Can't see us being able to kick enough goals (without Kennedy, Nicoski and Lecras) to sustain our form, and if we can't for the most part sustain our form, we probably won't make top two and get crucial home finals.

Will need Lynch, Hill and Darling to each kick 40+ goals in all likelihood.

They've no doubt been impressive but the only top quality side they've played is Hawthorn iirc.

Richmond don't go to bad. Best 2-4 side ever. :D

Serious post, very good midfield. :thumbsu:

Im also going to have to ignore those posts above me, it's just false modesty. Enjoy the next five years, dare i say Dyna..... ;)

Fremantle and Eagles supporters the only people taking this thread seriously, both out of fear?

Agreed, but a very important good start to the year given the current state of play with injuries. Much rather be 6-0 having played 'easy' sides than trying to build from 3-3 with games coming against 'easy' sides with key players out.

Has any team really showed anything in 2012 to suggest they will win the flag?

Geelong, Hawthorn and Collingwood have all played below their best, with Hawthorn copping the most stick.

Carlton beat Collingwood (who are admittedly struggling), then stunk it up against Essendon. Like WC they've othewise beaten no one of note.

Essendon have been unconvincing and outside Carlton have beaten average sides too.

Adelaide and Sydney have probably been the most impressive to date, relative to expectations.

Who are you to speak for me?

Of course I care, that is the reason why I opened such a discussion in the first place.

With that said, this isn't about me, it's about the entire football community. It's time to be realistic, we are well enough into the season to be so.

Like i said. Dynas...

Have to set them up before you can knock them down....

Build us up and watch the backlash if we lose and if by chance we win, then the Bombers were beaten by legit flag contenders and you can pat yourself on the back for displaying great vision and foresight.

Similar to why many in the media media pick weekly/monthly flag favourites.

Yeah, thus the massive self flagellation on the part of West Coast supporters. At least we can say, "we told you we where a middle of the road side masquerading as contenders".

Fremantle fans are beating us down because their mental health is at stake.

WBD,MEL,GWS, BRIS > All in Poor Form
RICH > Playing above there position on the ladder as shown by WCE beating them by only ten, Rich playing well or WCE playing poorly or bit of both
HAW > At Subiaco and still only won by five after being down all game.
I agree with you, people are getting ahead of themselves.

On current form WCE are obviously as good a chance as any...but it's still only quarter time.

A question better worth asking in July. Who knows how the season will pan out, regardless no team has made a convincing case that they should be the clear premiership favourite at this stage.

You should stick to Bay13, you're out of your depth. :thumbsu:

It's easy to make a list like that for any side; we can only beat who's in front of us, and we've done that.
