"Most" of what a front line secret service agent does is protecting the President (or similar VIP).

And most of that duty does not involve strength.

For example the most recent attempt on Trumps life 'strength' didn't play a factor at all.

When was the last time you saw a front line Agent shoot someone?

I’d think there are secret service roles that involve intelligence, training and stuff not related to strength and cardio. I’m sure some do though, they probably pick different types for different roles depending on requirements, earth shattering stuff I’m sure!

You talking about the sniping team? They aren't front line agents, they are specialist snipers, as I said.

Just because not every single task involves strength/speed/agility/size doesn't mean those things aren't vital because one day they MAY be critically important, so every agent must have them, I would have though that's a pretty common sense take, but I guess not.

Ok, so HOW strong must an agent be to be considered for the job then?

I'll make it easy for you.

Able to bench press:

1) 75kgs
2) 100kgs
3) 150kgs
4) 200kgs
5) 250kgs

Pick a number from above as the 'cut off' point for selection as an agent. As in 'if you're not strong enough to bench press X in kilograms, you cant be an agent, regardless of any other exceptional attribute you may have'

Answer the question this time please. All you have to do is pick a number from the above (or some other arbitrary figure in Kgs you desire).

This is such a dumb bad faith argument, and I bet you don't even understand why.

This is such a dumb bad faith argument.

Yet you're the one making the argument!

Again, stop being a coward and answer the question.

Your argument is that 'strength' is a core component of the job. Presume I agree with you (even though I dont).

So tell me how strong (in deadlift or benchpress or whatever) a person has to be to be considered for selection as a Secret Service Agent.

Give me a cut off figure.

If you wont give me a figure, then answer this question:

Q. Would a man (who is otherwise an exceptional candidate), able to bench press 150kgs, and deadlift 200kgs be 'strong enough' for the job for you?

A Yes or No will suffice.

I'll explain to you why it's such a nonsense bad faith argument.

I'm not a bench press expert, and even if I was there's no point giving an exact kilo figure for bench press, the issue is much more complex than that. It's about the total package of speed strength agility fitness. All the front line agents must have that total package. You're trying to get some dumb number so you can then use ur "superwomen" argument, another bad faith argument of "what if a women can bench press 200kg and run a marathon would she get in?????"

You may live in your own world, but in reality no women athlete is gonna compete with their equivalent male athlete, and despite your nonsense that a front line agent is mostly about paperwork and intelligence (wrong), physical ability is incredibly important and may 1 day save a presidents life.

You may have noticed that the director of the secret service had a security detail of around 6'2 men built like brick houses, but yeah, you're right not her.

Ah, parody.

Well played.

Ah, parody.

Well played.

A few people parodying far left ideology that is mocked widely, yes.

I've been called a wife beater, incel, campaigner and misogynist for arguing men are better at physical protection than women.

It does feel like a parody of everything people hate about woke ideology and the personal attacks they use to enforce it.

I figured you for a coward. Thanks for confirming.

I've asked you the same question multiple times, but you repeatedly refuse to answer.

Despite me answering all yours.

Pathetic.

Oh you're adding pathetic and a coward too into the insults because I disagree with you, how surprising.

I literally did answer your question, I just didn't give the answer you wanted so you could use it as some sort of dumb "gotcha". Btw you already tried the "what if a women can bench 300kg and run a marathon" bad faith argument before, remember?

So I'm a pathetic coward wife beating incel, and the reason for that is I said men are better at physical protection than women.

Do you still not understand why the vast majority had the radical left SJW's yet? Bullying and personal insults to silence those they disagree with.

I literally did answer your question

No, you did not. Despite me asking them several times.

So I'll ask you both questions again.

-----------------------

You've been repeatedly asserting 'strength' to be a core requirement of the role of a Secret Service agent. In other words, if you lack 'strength' you should not be employed as an agent.

You've been using this logic as the basis for excluding women from the role, because women lack strength relative to men.

I assume you're making this point in good faith.

So, following on from your logic (and please, assume for a second I actually agree with your argument) please answer for me the following two questions:

1) In your view should a candidate who is exceptional in all other criteria (investigative skills and policing experience, marksmanship, endurance, Masters or PhD education, a black belt in ju-jitsu etc) - but who is strong enough to 'only' bench press 100 kgs - be eligible for service as a secret service agent?

A 'Yes or No' will suffice.

2) How strong should a candidate be exactly before being excluded from employment as an agent, notwithstanding their other exceptional attributes?

Give me a figure, in bench press or deadlift amount, or in any other measurable metric of 'strength' as which point you would refuse them employment in the role.

If you don't answer those questions, I'll assume you're not here to actually debate your point in good faith at all.

I was watching Monty Python's Life of Brian the other day and couldn't help but think this segment was ahead of it's time.

Other required viewing should be the "what did the romans ever do for us" part of the film. Cleese was a comedic genious and his satire appears to be timeless.

When the world screams about rights, and for all the reasons we should be ungrateful with our current circumstances; it is imperative to think about our responsibilities, and all the reasons we should be grateful with our current circumstances, in equal measure.

I think you don't understand the physics maybe?
You don't hear the gunshot that kills you(well you might after it's put a hole in ya, barring some niche subsonic ammunition). Human reaction time simply isn't up to the job, there is no "dive in front of a bullet"(clearly haven't fielded at short leg) unless you've got brilliant premonition skills which, if anyone, I'd back some witchy petite lesbian goth chick to have

Ok so if a big ****er charges the pres/whatevs with a knife a big Service bloke is probably handy in the first few seconds, that's why they have multiple and they're all armed with guns. A woman with kevlar and a pistol is just as handy after the initial rush

The main threat is someone taking a ping with a gun, whether from close range quick draw or a few hundred metres. For the close range you want bodies covering the prize and/or neutralisation the threat, which is exactly what we saw. For longer range efforts it's up to marksmen/location security, ie where they failed, not exactly DEI is it

For the close range you want bodies covering the prize
And from what I gather, it's helpful that the prize doesn't stop to poke his head out and whip up a crowd who should be keeping their heads down or evacuating.

It's was one of the rare stupidbrilliant moves seen by politicians. Totally stupid to stick his head out, but absolutely brilliant for the optics of defiance and strength.
