We are so lucky that Yengi played and got a brace. If that was Duke, there is zero chance he bails us out with a point after that embarrassing 2 minute period letting in 2 goals.

Well done to those brave enough to get up and watch.

I've been a Socceroos crazy for over 40 years, and my enthusiasm to get up in the middle of the night to watch them has become thoroughly doused in the last 10 years.

There's no team I legitimately care about more than the Socceroos and I cbf with it atm...

The more you know about the system that's led us to this dire period, the less you care. The entire set-up and pathways from top to bottom is ****ed and no one in the FFA, APL, media, or anyone anywhere in soccer, talks about it or tries to fix it...

We're falling behind the rest of the world and it's only the fact we are a sports crazed nation that saves soccer. No actual planning, skills, forward thinking, or development to point to. Sheer weight of junior numbers, some are bound to be ok but that's not good enough

2 points against Bahrain. Over 50% of people watching this game couldn't even find that on a map! They have a similar population to Adelaide ffs. We are such an irrelevant level now it's just sad. 6 goals in 6 games against powerhouses like Indonesia, Bahrain, and China

^^^^^ X100

The attitude is "Just get to the World Cup, and fill the coffers...that's all that counts!".

I'm serious when I say the best jolt to the system would be for us to miss out on 2026...things might actually get done to improve the level of Australian football.
