A few weekends won't hurt you. Think positive.
I’ll deal with it like everyone but there’s no denying sitting in your house all the time gets very boring for some. This doesn’t look like going away anytime soon, so it’s going to get very draining for some. Some clearly don’t mind it.

It truly is an introverts wet dream this. The way I’ve heard some speak about how much they enjoy being locked in their house like a degenerate and telling others it’s not too bad is annoying as.
Even introverts want to get out of the house but we’re currently in a state of emergency...and it means needing to stay in a bit more. Not like we’re getting bombed daily, you can still go for walks near your home.

Anyone who supports Dan Andrews at this stage has obvious moral and ethical issues if you ask me

Has to go today really

Plenty of time for a witch hunt afterwards.
We can't go back and fix the quarantine security now.
What he's done to address the aged care is probably a help ( though its still not clear how many facilities share casual staff and how often they are tested ).

Not that. He pretty much called the entire aged care industry that is relied upon right now untrustworthy and incapable. A industry that is a part of the healthcare system

When you are blaming health care providers for your stuff ups, you are clearly a lost cause.

Would like to think Federal government step in and remove him from office so we can get a new start with this

If aged care is so awesome in this country, why is there a RC into their practices as we speak?

Why is the Dept already looking at increasing compliance and governance requirements, before the final report has been submitted to govt?

The sector is a mess, with some outstanding providers, some hideous providers, and some struggling under the burden of high expectations and low funding. Pretending otherwise is head in sand stuff

And this is a very old problem, one that both parties are at fault on

Leaders dont bag out and insult the collective based on the minorities mistakes. Leaders also dont act on emotion when a cool and calm thought is required.

He is a baby that has thrown his toys out of his pram at best

again, if its a minority why are we having a RC?

you are deluded if you think the sector is all sunshine and lollipops.

So having the RC is equal to guilt now? Seems rather pointless to continue on in that regard. Just end it now and sack everyone?

if you viewed any of the testimony, yes you would know where the conclusions are heading

same with the RC into care for people with disabilities

this country has a habit of ignoring people in care and shoving them in a forgotten "too hard" basket. big shock if you under resource and staff with casual carers with minimal training things go wrong

A new start would be great , but we can't have a new start . We only have what we have now.
The breakout has left us with Lockdown and Face masks.

The aged care system is vulnerable and incapable, and based on what we saw in Europe a high risk of spreading and the highest risk of deaths.
Andrews should have been onto it.

Important things in the Pandemic.

Isolate Travellers with highest risk of virus : Fail
Protect the most vulnerable People : Fail
Its all been far too reactive, but the reactions, when the failures have been realised have not necessarily been wrong.

Andrews is pretty good at keeping the whole class back at school after 3 students ate all the lollies he forgot to put away.

But we can't undo what has happened either.

Country also has a habit of painting everybody with the same brush because its too hard to differentiate

thats exactly what you wanted to do - for the premier to say "everything is awesome in aged care" even though its bloody obvious to everyone - including you - that its not

if you want a cheerleader in chief, so to the usa. for one I'm glad morrison and andrews are calling out sectors that need to lift their game

Going for a walk isn’t what I’d call getting out.

It’s okay to admit that this is getting very tiring for some. You can only watch so much Netflix, footy etc before you’re bored out of your mind.

No I didnt.

Id like him to single out the aged care homes he thinks are underperforming, as opposed to the 100% Bullshit blanket statement he made. He should put his name to something and add specifics, instead he targets everyone. It is the cowards way out because he has no belief in himself

Name the homes, present the evidence, do the investigation. Meaningless and insulting blanket statements do nothing but protect himself and any leader who will throw health care professionals under the bus at a time like this will lose all confidence with the general public for a good reason
