I have to correct you, these protests are being run directly by Paid Putin Nazi Bots. This is exactly what they did to get Trump elected. They have weaponised Social media. Remember, the Mueller peer reviewed report which details exactly how treacherous and widespread this Russian threat has become.

Worse, leading experts are now saying that we are really in the middle of what is new Zoonotic phenomena, where the brains of Monkeys can leap across vast distances and literally posses a Human. The room is great but the food is dire. When you ring up to complain you get the classic 'it's the supplier, not us' line. Or redirected to the 'pay $18 for 3 dumplings' room service menu.

Apparently the hotel is getting $10,000 per guest for catering. Have seen some of the meals from other people's hotels, and they are multiple times better than what we're getting.

My theory is some hotels are simply pocketing most of that cash and feeding us on a shoestring. It's pretty scandalous. But according to plebs on social media we should just be grateful we're being fed at all, because apparently being overseas during a time of crisis means you automatically forfeit all your civil liberties and human rights or something

Anyway, whatever. I'm almost halfway through. Gotta say I'm not ever going to take the freedom to do my own grocery shopping for granted again.

Do we have transparency of the arrangements between the hotels and Vic government? $10,000 per guest for catering sounds excessive in the extreme, so what rates are being paid for the rooms? Are all the paid bookings being taken up? What kick backs are in place?

Why are people who are being held in hotel rooms not tested for the virus then released before 14 days?

If it is truly $10,000 for catering alone, then you follow the math for a 14 day stay and that's $238.10 for each breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or $714 per person per day for 3 meals.

I imagine it's not just for catering as that is absurd, perhaps it's 10k total costs which would make it $714 per day per room. Expensive, but more believable.

Not saying i agree with all that he has written but ... he makes a very good point IMO, which is the flattening of the curve is due to the most vulnerable dying first as opposed to any lockdown.

~60 people have died in the whole ckuntry. The death curve follows the new infection curve, which vulnerability has little to nothing to do with. This idea is a non starter.

I live in vietnam. The govt went hard and went early. They closed schools in january.
If someone got covid they traced first and second contacts and either isolated them or quarantied them.

They got the population on board. They were quicker than most countries to stop incoming, humans, freight or produce.

Currently 70,000 people in quarantine around various hotels and military hospitals.

As of today vietnam is nationally in a stay at home order, similar to the USA and Oz.

Next week much of vietnam will ease restrictions,(we hope), as seems to be happenig in USA. Differnce being Vjetnam has 65 active cases of covid, USA has ove 600,000 current cases.
